Splitska judašica Barbara Matić teško da je mogla zamisliti bolji kraj 2020. godine. Osvojila je Grand Slam u Budimpešti, postala prva predstavnica borilačkih sportova s trofejem Sportskih novosti za sportašicu godine, a sada je i nominirana za najbolju sportašicu u našem izboru za Sportsko ime Dalmacije.

Višemjesečni “lockdown” zbog pandemije koronavirusa očito nije poremetio Barbarinu formu. Članica Judo kluba Pujanke nastojala je maksimalno iskoristiti situaciju. Trenirala je kod kuće, zaliječila ozljede, diplomirala na FESB-u (Fakultet elektrotehnike, strojarstva i brodogradnje) i onda na tatamiju počela blistati u smiraju godine.

Na prvom velikom turniru nakon karantene Barbara je u Budimpešti odradila jednu od najboljih izvedbi karijere i došla do prvog zlata na Grand Slamu. Prethodno je imala srebro i broncu. A ovaj uspjeh dodatno je odjeknuo jer je konkurencija bila takva kao da se radilo o Svjetskom prvenstvu.

Pazite samo koga je sve Barbara počevši od četvrtfinala eliminirala na putu do zlata: aktualnu svjetsku prvakinju Marie Evu Gahie iz Francuske, srebrnu sa Svjetskog prvenstva Barbaru Timo iz Portugala i u finalu još jednu Francuskinju Margaux Pinot, europsku prvakinju i brončanu sa SP-a. Sama elita svjetskog juda do 70 kilograma.

- Upravo je to ono što daje na važnosti ovom rezultatu. Ako uvijek budem na ovoj razini, pripadam u top 3 moje kategorije – rekla nam je tada nakon tog podviga 26-godišnja Barbara.

- Ovo je bilo savršeno – komentirao je njezin trener Vladimir Preradović.

Zaista, sve se poklopilo u mađarskoj prijestolnici.

- Baš mi je drago zbog ovog rezultata, pogotovo jer se na nekim prijašnjim turnirima nisam borila kako znam. Ovaj je put sve došlo na svoje – dodala je Barbara koja za razliku od konkurentica nema ni približno tako dobra sredstva za rad. Još uvijek trenira u atomskom skloništu u uvjetima koji se ne mogu usporediti s onima primjerice u Francuskoj, Velikoj Britaniji ili Japanu. Ide nabolje, ali još je to daleko od idealnog. Sve je to u neku ruku izgradilo i ojačalo Barbaru, kao i njezinu također vrlo uspješnu klupsku kolegicu Karlu Prodan.

Ne želimo zvučati euforično, ali ako je Barbara mogla pobijediti ponajbolje svjetske judašice u svojoj kategoriji u Budimpešti, zašto ne bi mogla i u Tokiju. Pokazala je da može, da pripada vrhu i sigurno će u ovu godinu ući samouvjerenija nego ikad. Da se razumijemo, to samo po sebi ne jamči olimpijsku medalju jer je kategorija dosta izjednačena i nema izrazitih favoritkinja, ali da Barbaru treba gledati kao ozbiljnu kandidatkinju za medalju – apsolutno da.

Kroz promjenu prehrane i angažman sportske psihologinje Matić pokazuje koliko je potpuno posvećena judu i ostvarenju najvećih mogućih uspjeha. Njezin se trud isplaćuje, a samopouzdanje raste, što je lijepa najava za ono što slijedi u 2021. godini. 

Ako ne bude novih odgoda zbog koronavirusa, Barbaru već za nekoliko dana (11. - 13. siječnja) čeka Masters u Dohi, pa Europsko prvenstvo u travnju, Svjetsko prvenstvo u lipnju, Olimpijske igre, Grand Slamovi... Mnoštvo velikih pozornica i prilika za nove povijesne domete.

Splitska judašica Barbara Matić teško da je mogla zamisliti bolji kraj 2020. godine. Osvojila je Grand Slam u Budimpešti, postala prva predstavnica borilačkih sportova s trofejem Sportskih novosti za sportašicu godine, a sada je i nominirana za najbolju sportašicu u našem izboru za Sportsko ime Dalmacije.

Višemjesečni “lockdown” zbog pandemije koronavirusa očito nije poremetio Barbarinu formu. Članica Judo kluba Pujanke nastojala je maksimalno iskoristiti situaciju. Trenirala je kod kuće, zaliječila ozljede, diplomirala na FESB-u (Fakultet elektrotehnike, strojarstva i brodogradnje) i onda na tatamiju počela blistati u smiraju godine.

Na prvom velikom turniru nakon karantene Barbara je u Budimpešti odradila jednu od najboljih izvedbi karijere i došla do prvog zlata na Grand Slamu. Prethodno je imala srebro i broncu. A ovaj uspjeh dodatno je odjeknuo jer je konkurencija bila takva kao da se radilo o Svjetskom prvenstvu.

Pazite samo koga je sve Barbara počevši od četvrtfinala eliminirala na putu do zlata: aktualnu svjetsku prvakinju Marie Evu Gahie iz Francuske, srebrnu sa Svjetskog prvenstva Barbaru Timo iz Portugala i u finalu još jednu Francuskinju Margaux Pinot, europsku prvakinju i brončanu sa SP-a. Sama elita svjetskog juda do 70 kilograma.

- Upravo je to ono što daje na važnosti ovom rezultatu. Ako uvijek budem na ovoj razini, pripadam u top 3 moje kategorije – rekla nam je tada nakon tog podviga 26-godišnja Barbara.

- Ovo je bilo savršeno – komentirao je njezin trener Vladimir Preradović.

Zaista, sve se poklopilo u mađarskoj prijestolnici.

- Baš mi je drago zbog ovog rezultata, pogotovo jer se na nekim prijašnjim turnirima nisam borila kako znam. Ovaj je put sve došlo na svoje – dodala je Barbara koja za razliku od konkurentica nema ni približno tako dobra sredstva za rad. Još uvijek trenira u atomskom skloništu u uvjetima koji se ne mogu usporediti s onima primjerice u Francuskoj, Velikoj Britaniji ili Japanu. Ide nabolje, ali još je to daleko od idealnog. Sve je to u neku ruku izgradilo i ojačalo Barbaru, kao i njezinu također vrlo uspješnu klupsku kolegicu Karlu Prodan.

Ne želimo zvučati euforično, ali ako je Barbara mogla pobijediti ponajbolje svjetske judašice u svojoj kategoriji u Budimpešti, zašto ne bi mogla i u Tokiju. Pokazala je da može, da pripada vrhu i sigurno će u ovu godinu ući samouvjerenija nego ikad. Da se razumijemo, to samo po sebi ne jamči olimpijsku medalju jer je kategorija dosta izjednačena i nema izrazitih favoritkinja, ali da Barbaru treba gledati kao ozbiljnu kandidatkinju za medalju – apsolutno da.

Kroz promjenu prehrane i angažman sportske psihologinje Matić pokazuje koliko je potpuno posvećena judu i ostvarenju najvećih mogućih uspjeha. Njezin se trud isplaćuje, a samopouzdanje raste, što je lijepa najava za ono što slijedi u 2021. godini.

Splitska judašica Barbara Matić teško da je mogla zamisliti bolji kraj 2020. godine. Osvojila je Grand Slam u Budimpešti, postala prva predstavnica borilačkih sportova s trofejem Sportskih novosti za sportašicu godine, a sada je i nominirana za najbolju sportašicu u našem izboru za Sportsko ime Dalmacije.

Višemjesečni “lockdown” zbog pandemije koronavirusa očito nije poremetio Barbarinu formu. Članica Judo kluba Pujanke nastojala je maksimalno iskoristiti situaciju. Trenirala je kod kuće, zaliječila ozljede, diplomirala na FESB-u (Fakultet elektrotehnike, strojarstva i brodogradnje) i onda na tatamiju počela blistati u smiraju godine.

Na prvom velikom turniru nakon karantene Barbara je u Budimpešti odradila jednu od najboljih izvedbi karijere i došla do prvog zlata na G...
