Našao sam u ustima ribe životinju dužine 4 cm. Je li u pitanju posljednji obrok ili parazit i je li takva riba sigurna za jelo?

Iz vašeg pitanja pretpostavljam kako je i vama jasno da ovo na slici nije baš uobičajeni obrok komarče već je riječ o parazitu. Inače, postoji mnoštvo parazita u morskom ekosustavu, među njima i veliki broj ribljih vrsta, od kojih su mnogi paraziti svoj cijeli život, dok su neki samo u određenom periodu svoga života.

Paraziti imaju različite načine hranjenja, pa se zato nalaze i u različitim djelovima tijela domaćina, što je i jedna od karakteristika s kojima se raspoznaju jer razlikujemo endoparazite, koji žive unutar tijela domaćina, te ektoparazite, koji se nalaze na tjelesnoj površini. Iz niza vaših fotografija je jasno da je prvobitno mjesto boravka ovog parazita bila usna šupljina, a iz tjelesnih karakteristika, uključujući izmjerenu dužinu, mogao sam zaključiti da se radi o jednoj vrsti parazitskog račića roda Ceratothoa sp.

Manja težina

Inače, člankonošci - jednakonošci roda Ceratothoa iz porodice Cymothoidae su poznati u Mediteranu uglavnom po šteti koju prouzrokuju ribama u kaveskom uzgoju, iako ih se nalazi i kod divljih riba. U Jadranu je poznato da najviše štete uzrokuju dvije vrste i to Ceratothoa oestroides i Ceratothoa parallela. Poznato je da infekcija riba ovim parazitom može dovesti i do 20% smanjenja težine u odnosu na standardnu. Ovi se račići hrane krvlju i sluzi usne šupljine.

Kod mlađi riba ovi paraziti sisanjem krvi uzrokuju anemiju, upale rožnice i kože na glavi te upale škržnih lukova. Zaražena mlađ otežano uzima hranu zbog prisustva parazita u usnoj šupljini, gubi na rastu i težini, a dolazi i do lokalnih anatomskih deformacija uslijed neprirodnih mehaničkih radnji ustima. Istraživanja su pokazala da se manje ovih parazita nalazi na lokacijama s jačim strujanjem mora, dok je kritično na uzgajalištima s velikim brojem kaveza i velike gustoće nasada.

Uz smanjeni rast ribe i povećanu smrtnost, jedan od dodatnih problema, posebice jer se radi o ribi koja se uzgaja za ljudsku prehranu, je i sortiranje i odstranjivanje fizički neugledne i tržišno neprihvatljive ribe. Odstranjivanje parazita prije plasiranja ribe na tržište se mora raditi ručno, što znači da je zahtjevno i ekonomski neisplativo.

Parazit se nastani u škrgama

Paraziti nisu moja specijalnost pa sam pitao za mišljenje kolege koji se bave parazitima i oni su pregledom dostupnih fotografija zaključili da se radi o Ceratothoa oestroides, sa standardnom ogradom da se iz fotografija to ne može zaključiti sa 100% sigurnošću.

Zanimljivo je da je ovaj parazit proteandrični hermafrodit, kao i neke ribe. Naime, u ranijoj fazi svoga života je mužjak da bi se nakon nekog vremena pretvorio u ženku. S obzirom na veličinu koju ste prijavili za pretpostaviti je stoga, a kolege su to zaključile i po još nekim dodatnim karakteristikama vidljivima s fotografije, da se ovdje radi o gravidnoj ženki koja nosi jajašca.

Noge kao respiratori

U početku svoga života ovaj parazit je slobodno plivajući, da bi sazrijevanjem kao mužjak, a prije pretvaranja u ženku, izgubio svoju sposobnost plivanja. Prije toga, nalazi svoga domaćina i smješta mu se u ustima odakle se zapravo više i ne može pokrenuti jer više nema tu mogućnost. Pronalaskom domaćina počinje se hraniti njegovom krvlju i zatim prolazi kroz određenu metamorfozu jer mu se neki djelovi tijela prilagođavaju domaćinu i parazitskom životu pa se primjerice zadnja 3 para nogu pretvaraju u respiratorne organe.

U situaciji kada se parazit više ne može kretati te ne može napustiti domaćina, a domaćin nema neograničene kapacitete kojima se parazit može hraniti, jasan je završetak ovog parazitskog odnosa, kako za parazita, tako i za domaćina. Stoga je ženka spolo zrela cijelo vrijeme te u zavisnosti od perioda godine ima od 40 do skoro 400 jajašaca spremnih za oplodnju.

Ovaj parazitski račić je nađen na lubinu, komarči, arbunu, bukvi, šnjuru, ciplu te na brojnim drugim vrstama riba, pa čak i na škrpunu i škarpini.

I na kraju da odgovorim na vaše vjerojatno najvažnije pitanje: ovi paraziti djeluju samo na ribe te se nikakva bolest ne može prenijeti na čovjeka. Stoga, ako kupite ili uhvatite neku ribu i pronađete ovog parazita, dovoljno je odstraniti ga s tijela ribe čime je problem, barem za vas, riješen.

Našao sam u ustima ribe životinju dužine 4 cm. Je li u pitanju posljednji obrok ili parazit i je li takva riba sigurna za jelo?

Iz vašeg pitanja pretpostavljam kako je i vama jasno da ovo na slici nije baš uobičajeni obrok komarče već je riječ o parazitu. Inače, postoji mnoštvo parazita u morskom ekosustavu, među njima i veliki broj ribljih vrsta, od kojih su mnogi paraziti svoj cijeli život, dok su neki samo u određenom periodu svoga života.

Paraziti imaju različite načine hranjenja, pa se zato nalaze i u različitim djelovima tijela domaćina, što je i jedna od karakteristika s kojima se raspoznaju jer razlikujemo endoparazite, koji žive unutar tijela domaćina, te ektoparazite, koji se nalaze na tjelesnoj površini. Iz niza vaših fotografija je jasno da je prvobitno mjesto boravka ovog parazita bila usna šupljina, a iz tjelesnih karakteristika, uključujući izmjerenu dužinu, mogao sam zaključiti da se radi o jednoj vrsti parazitskog račića roda Ceratothoa sp.

Manja težina

Inače, člankonošci - jednakonošci roda Ceratothoa iz porodice Cymothoidae su poznati u Mediteranu uglavnom po šteti koju prouzrokuju ribama u kaveskom uzgoju, iako ih se nalazi i kod divljih riba. U Jadranu je poznato da najviše štete uzrokuju dvije vrste i to Ceratothoa oestroides i Ceratothoa parallela. Poznato je da infekcija riba ovim parazitom može dovesti i do 20% smanjenja težine u odnosu na standardnu. Ovi se račići hrane krvlju i sluzi usne šupljine.

Kod mlađi riba ovi paraziti sisanjem krvi uzrokuju anemiju, upale rožnice i kože na glavi te upale škržnih lukova. Zaražena mlađ otežano uzima hranu zbog prisustva parazita u usnoj šupljini, gubi na rastu i težini, a dolazi i do lokalnih anatomskih deformacija uslijed neprirodnih mehaničkih radnji ustima. Istraživanja su pokazala da se manje ovih parazita nalazi na lokacijama s jačim strujanjem mora, dok je kritično na uzgajalištima s velikim brojem kaveza i velike gustoće nasada.

Uz smanjeni rast ribe i povećanu smrtnost, jedan od dodatnih problema, posebice jer se radi o ribi koja se uzgaja za ljudsku prehranu, je i sortiranje i odstranjivanje fizički neugledne i tržišno neprihvatljive ribe. Odstranjivanje parazita prije plasiranja ribe na tržište se mora raditi ručno, što znači da je zahtjevno i ekonomski neisplativo.

Paraziti nisu moja specijalnost pa sam pitao za mišljenje kolege koji se bave parazitima i oni su pregledom dostupnih fotografija zaključili da se radi o Ceratothoa oestroides, sa standardnom ogradom da se iz fotografija to ne može zaključiti sa 100% sigurnošću.

Zanimljivo je da je ovaj parazit proteandrični hermafrodit, kao i neke ribe. Naime, u ranijoj fazi svoga života je mužjak da bi se nakon nekog vremena pretvorio u ženku. S obzirom na veličinu koju ste prijavili za pretpostaviti je stoga, a kolege su to zaključile i po još nekim dodatnim karakteristikama vidljivima s fotografije, da se ovdje radi o gravidnoj ženki koja nosi jajašca.

Noge kao respiratori

U početku svoga života ovaj parazit je slobodno plivajući, da bi sazrijevanjem kao mužjak, a prije pretvaranja u ženku, izgubio svoju sposobnost plivanja. Prije toga, nalazi svoga domaćina i smješta mu se u ustima odakle se zapravo više i ne može pokrenuti jer više nema tu mogućnost. Pronalaskom domaćina počinje se hraniti njegovom krvlju i zatim prolazi kroz određenu metamorfozu jer mu se neki djelovi tijela prilagođavaju domaćinu i parazitskom životu pa se primjerice zadnja 3 para nogu pretvaraju u respiratorne organe.

U situaciji kada se parazit više ne može kretati te ne može napustiti domaćina, a domaćin nema neograničene kapacitete kojima se parazit može hraniti, jasan je završetak ovog parazitskog odnosa, kako za parazita, tako i za domaćina. Stoga je ženka spolo zrela cijelo vrijeme te u zavisnosti od perioda godine ima od 40 do skoro 400 jajašaca spremnih za oplodnju.

Ovaj parazitski račić je nađen na lubinu, komarči, arbunu, bukvi, šnjuru, ciplu te na brojnim drugim vrstama riba, pa čak i na škrpunu i škarpini.

I na kraju da odgovorim na vaše vjerojatno najvažnije pitanje: ovi paraziti djeluju samo na ribe te se nikakva bolest ne može prenijeti na čovjeka. Stoga, ako kupite ili uhvatite neku ribu i pronađete ovog parazita, dovoljno je odstraniti ga s tijela ribe čime je problem, barem za vas, riješen.
