Nedavno sam u Francuskoj kupio rabljenu dvanaestmetarsku jedrilicu. Relativno je stara i bivši je vlasnik dosta koristio, ali redovno održavao, tako da je u odličnom stanju. Dobio sam i svu dodatnu opremu koju je on imao za taj brod. Među ostalim, tu su i dva manja tvrda narančasta jedra, pretpostavljam olujna. Koliko su mi ona realno potrebna?

Nekada su i kod nas olujna jedra, a mislim da je bio dovoljan i barem flok, bila obvezan dio opreme za nastup na bilo kojoj imalo ozbiljnijoj regati. Njihova je funkcija da u ekstremnim uvjetima, olujnom vremenu, vi još uvijek možete upravljati jedrilicom, a ne ona vama. Osim toga, s podignutim bilo kakvim manjim jedrom brod se manje valja i plovidba je u tim uvjetima kudikamo ugodnija.

Naravno, takva jedra moraju biti od čvršćeg materijala, s adekvatno ojačanim hvatištima, plitkoga kroja i male površine.​ Flok je krojen tako da mu je hvatište škote dosta visoko kako bi valovi koji preliju pramac prolazili ispod njega. U tim uvjetima i vidljivost je slabija, a radi bolje uočljivosti, često su se krojila od narančastog materijala.

Iznenadna lebićada

Malo tko ima iskustva s njihovim korištenjem, a zadnji meni poznat slučaj je iz polovine osamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, na posljednjoj regati Sušac, koja je tada bila za pune posade. U noći, dok se glavnina flote nalazila u blizini otoka Sušca, iznenada i bez ikakve najave iz smjera lebića došlo je nevrijeme koje je potrajalo nekoliko sati. Tada je rijetko tko imao instrument za mjerenje snage vjetra, ali oni koji su ga imali govorili su da je vjetar na trenutke dosezao snagu i do 11 bofora. U to vrijeme olujni flok bio je obvezan dio opreme, a nijedan sudionik regate nije imao nikakav ozbiljniji problem. Jedina posljedica je činjenica da se dogodine za ovu regatu nije javio dovoljan broj sudionika i tako je ova bila posljednja.

Kraćenje jedara po jakom vjetru je uobičajeno, međutim, po ovim uvjetima jedro je i sa zadnjim kratom još uvijek veliko, a isto tako i najmanji flok. Jedrilice koje na oba jedra imaju rolere površinu jedara mogu smanjivati koliko žele, ali u ovim uvjetima ni to nije alternativa. Naime, ni kroj ni čvrstoća materijala za ovo nisu predviđeni, a posljedice mogu biti gore negoli plovidba bez ikakvog jedra.

Olujna jedra gotovo se u pravilu ne postavljaju i ne koriste isti sistem kao ostala jedra na vašoj jedrilici. Bilo bi apsurdno, pri ovim uvjetima komplicirano i veliki gubitak vremena, da prije njihova postavljanja morate prethodno s palube ukloniti ostala jedra. Većina olujnih flokova na prednjem porubu ima ugrađeno krilo koje se omota oko prednjeg štraja, a dovoljno je komotno da se može postaviti i preko zamotane genoe.

Pokušajte ih dignuti

Negdje umjesto ugrađenoga krila imaju široke obujmice, a postoje i još neka druga rješenja. Olujno jedro na jarbolu može imati poseban utor ili šinu, paralelnu uz utor glavnog jedra, ili se svojim obujmicama hvata oko jarbola. Krmeni rogalj mu se ne vezuje za lantinu, nego na roglju ima škote kao i flok.

Ova ste jedra dobili zajedno s brodom pa se pretpostavlja da je bivši vlasnik već sve i prilagodio njihovoj upotrebi. Ako se odlučite zadržati ih u brodu, bilo bi dobro da ih pokušate dignuti, barem da provjerite kako se postavljaju i označite hvatišta njihovih škota. Isto tako, kada ih ponovno budete vraćali u vreću, složite ih tako da se jednostavno i brzo po potrebi mogu postaviti.

Kao i šperancu, olujno sidro, splav i još neka oprema, ni olujna jedra nisu obvezna oprema i najčešće nikada neće biti korištena, ali svi oni koji ih drže u svom brodu jako dobro znaju njihovo značenje i svrhu.

Nedavno sam u Francuskoj kupio rabljenu dvanaestmetarsku jedrilicu. Relativno je stara i bivši je vlasnik dosta koristio, ali redovno održavao, tako da je u odličnom stanju. Dobio sam i svu dodatnu opremu koju je on imao za taj brod. Među ostalim, tu su i dva manja tvrda narančasta jedra, pretpostavljam olujna. Koliko su mi ona realno potrebna?

Nekada su i kod nas olujna jedra, a mislim da je bio dovoljan i barem flok, bila obvezan dio opreme za nastup na bilo kojoj imalo ozbiljnijoj regati. Njihova je funkcija da u ekstremnim uvjetima, olujnom vremenu, vi još uvijek možete upravljati jedrilicom, a ne ona vama. Osim toga, s podignutim bilo kakvim manjim jedrom brod se manje valja i plovidba je u tim uvjetima kudikamo ugodnija.

Naravno, takva jedra moraju biti od čvršćeg materijala, s adekvatno ojačanim hvatištima, plitkoga kroja i male površine.​ Flok je krojen tako da mu je hvatište škote dosta visoko kako bi valovi koji preliju pramac prolazili ispod njega. U tim uvjetima i vidljivost je slabija, a radi bolje uočljivosti, često su se krojila od narančastog materijala.

Iznenadna lebićada

Malo tko ima iskustva s njihovim korištenjem, a zadnji meni poznat slučaj je iz polovine osamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, na posljednjoj regati Sušac, koja je tada bila za pune posade. U noći, dok se glavnina flote nalazila u blizini otoka Sušca, iznenada i bez ikakve najave iz smjera lebića došlo je nevrijeme koje je potrajalo nekoliko sati. Tada je rijetko tko imao instrument za mjerenje snage vjetra, ali oni koji su ga imali govorili su da je vjetar na trenutke dosezao snagu i do 11 bofora. U to vrijeme olujni flok bio je obvezan dio opreme, a nijedan sudionik regate nije imao nikakav ozbiljniji problem. Jedina posljedica je činjenica da se dogodine za ovu regatu nije javio dovoljan broj sudionika i tako je ova bila posljednja.

Kraćenje jedara po jakom vjetru je uobičajeno, međutim, po ovim uvjetima jedro je i sa zadnjim kratom još uvijek veliko, a isto tako i najmanji flok. Jedrilice koje na oba jedra imaju rolere površinu jedara mogu smanjivati koliko žele, ali u ovim uvjetima ni to nije alternativa. Naime, ni kroj ni čvrstoća materijala za ovo nisu predviđeni, a posljedice mogu biti gore negoli plovidba bez ikakvog jedra.

Olujna jedra gotovo se u pravilu ne postavljaju i ne koriste isti sistem kao ostala jedra na vašoj jedrilici. Bilo bi apsurdno, pri ovim uvjetima komplicirano i veliki gubitak vremena, da prije njihova postavljanja morate prethodno s palube ukloniti ostala jedra. Većina olujnih flokova na prednjem porubu ima ugrađeno krilo koje se omota oko prednjeg štraja, a dovoljno je komotno da se može postaviti i preko zamotane genoe.

Pokušajte ih dignuti

Negdje umjesto ugrađenoga krila imaju široke obujmice, a postoje i još neka druga rješenja. Olujno jedro na jarbolu može imati poseban utor ili šinu, paralelnu uz utor glavnog jedra, ili se svojim obujmicama hvata oko jarbola. Krmeni rogalj mu se ne vezuje za lantinu, nego na roglju ima škote kao i flok.

Ova ste jedra dobili zajedno s brodom pa se pretpostavlja da je bivši vlasnik već sve i prilagodio njihovoj upotrebi. Ako se odlučite zadržati ih u brodu, bilo bi dobro da ih pokušate dignuti, barem da provjerite kako se postavljaju i označite hvatišta njihovih škota. Isto tako, kada ih ponovno budete vraćali u vreću, složite ih tako da se jednostavno i brzo po potrebi mogu postaviti.

Kao i šperancu, olujno sidro, splav i još neka oprema, ni olujna jedra nisu obvezna oprema i najčešće nikada neće biti korištena, ali svi oni koji ih drže u svom brodu jako dobro znaju njihovo značenje i svrhu.
