Jedriličarski klub Mornar iz Splita raspisao je poziv za tradicionalnu regatu "Sveti Nikola za samce i dvojce" koja će se održavati od 3. do 6. prosinca.
Ruta regate je: a) Komiža-Svetac-Palaguža-Sušac-Split-O.Stipanska-Komiža, odnosno oko 178 nautičkih milja, b) Komiža-Pokonji Dol-Split-O.Stipanska-Biševo-Komiža, oko 93 milje, te c) Komiža-O. Stipanska-Šolta-Vis-Komiža oko 67 nautičkih milja. Organizator zadržava pravo promjene rute u ovisnosti o vremenskoj prognozi.
Broj prijava ograničen je na 20 jedrilica. Organizator poručuje da prvenstvo prijave imaju "samci" te prema redosljedu s kojim su prijave pristigle i uplaćene. Organizator zadržava diskrecijsko pravo primanja pojedinih prijava i nakon zaključenja startne liste (maksimalnog broja sudionika).
Ova regata ima poseban status među jedriličarima. Do 2015. godine bila je rezervirana isključivo za solo jedriličare, no potom je uvedeno da mogu nastupati i dvojci. Lani je nastupilo 15 posada i to isključivo dvojaca. Svakako, riječ je o regati koja je fizički i mentalno jako izazovna, a jedrenje u prosincu kada je kratak dan, vrijeme promjenjivo, more čudljivo, uz svu potrebnu opremu, je poseban izazov.

Lijepa je tradicija koja se njeguje uoči regate: svi natjecatelji imaju priliku sudjelovati u poznatoj procesiji povodom blagdana pomoraca sv. Nikole koja se odvija ispred istoimene crkve u Komiži. Ova stara crkva, od milja zvana sv.Mikula, ostavila je dubok trag u prošlosti otočana čiji su životi ovisili o moru i brodovima. U crkvi je u prošlosti boravio i sam Papa koji se od nevremena na putu za Venciju morao skloniti u luku Komižu.
I danas Komižani zajedno sa sudionicima ove regate njeguju drevni običaj paljenja drvenog broda ispred crkve kao simboličnu žrtvu za spas svih brodova i mornara koji plove diljem svijeta. Ovaj jedinstveni obred otočane i jedriličare podsjeća na sjedinjenje duše s brodom dok plove i ovise jedan o drugome.

Ruta regate je: a) Komiža-Svetac-Palaguža-Sušac-Split-O.Stipanska-Komiža, odnosno oko 178 nautičkih milja, b) Komiža-Pokonji Dol-Split-O.Stipanska-Biševo-Komiža, oko 93 milje, te c) Komiža-O. Stipanska-Šolta-Vis-Komiža oko 67 nautičkih milja. Organizator zadržava pravo promjene rute u ovisnosti o vremenskoj prognozi.
Broj prijava ograničen je na 20 jedrilica. Organizator poručuje da prvenstvo prijave imaju "samci" te prema redosljedu s kojim su prijave pristigle i uplaćene. Organizator zadržava diskrecijsko pravo primanja pojedinih prijava i nakon zaključenja startne liste (maksimalnog broja sudionika).
Ova regata ima poseban status među jedriličarima. Do 2015. godine bila je rezervirana isključivo za solo jedriličare, no potom je uvedeno da mogu nastupati i dvojci. Lani je nastupilo 15 posada i to isključivo dvojaca. Svakako, riječ je o regati koja je fizički i mentalno jako izazovna, a jedrenje u prosincu kada je kratak dan, vrijeme promjenjivo, more čudljivo, uz svu potrebnu opremu, je poseban izazov.

Lijepa je tradicija koja se njeguje uoči regate: svi natjecatelji imaju priliku sudjelovati u poznatoj procesiji povodom blagdana pomoraca sv. Nikole koja se odvija ispred istoimene crkve u Komiži. Ova stara crkva, od milja zvana sv.Mikula, ostavila je dubok trag u prošlosti otočana čiji su životi ovisili o moru i brodovima. U crkvi je u prošlosti boravio i sam Papa koji se od nevremena na putu za Venciju morao skloniti u luku Komižu.
I danas Komižani zajedno sa sudionicima ove regate njeguju drevni običaj paljenja drvenog broda ispred crkve kao simboličnu žrtvu za spas svih brodova i mornara koji plove diljem svijeta. Ovaj jedinstveni obred otočane i jedriličare podsjeća na sjedinjenje duše s brodom dok plove i ovise jedan o drugome.
