Početkom godine kupio sam stariju i dobro održavanu desetmetarsku jedrilicu. Osim nekoliko manjih detalja s opremom, sve je bilo u vrlo dobrom stanju. To s opremom sam odmah riješio, ali ostao je još jedan detalj koji bih također želio srediti. Gelcoat na palubi na nekoliko mjesta ima zvjezdaste pukotine, neki ih zovu i paukova mreža. Kako se to može sanirati?

Takve pukotine na starijim plovilima nisu rijetke, a uglavnom nastanu zbog naprezanja palube na pojedinim pozicijama. Ponekad su te pukotine samo površinske, ne prodiru cijelom debljinom gelcoata, a nekad idu i dublje do laminata, pa je na tim mjestima gelcoat porozan. Ako je paluba izrađena u sendviču, problem može biti i nešto složeniji, naročito ako je jezgra od balze. Voda koja do nje prodre sakuplja se i razvija njezino truljenje. Gazeći po njima, primijetit ćete kako je paluba na tim mjestima mekša.

Više razloga

Razlog nastanka ovih pukotina nisu samo posljedice udarca ili naprezanja na određenim pozicijama. One mogu nastati još prilikom izvlačenja palube iz kalupa, ako se pri odvajanju paluba previše savije, a ponekad se pukotine prenesu i na stakloplastiku. Ako su uočljive, saniraju se odmah, ali ako ih se ne vidi, plovilo se isporuči bez tih popravaka. Postanu uočljive tek kad se u njima nakupi prljavština, a to može biti i godinama kasnije.

Kod sanacije prvo pokušajte otkriti koji je razlog nastanku ovih pukotina. Nekada se šire iz baze stupića ograde koji je u nekom trenutku bio nagnječen, a ponekad oko baze opreme pričvršćene za palubu koja u plovidbi vibrira ili se uvija. Često se pojavljuju oko oštrijih pregiba na palubi, naročito po kokpitu i uz kutove kabine. Oslabljena mjesta svakako bi bilo dobro s donje strane učvrstiti dodatnim laminatima stakloplastike ili dodavanjem dodatnog ojačanja. Naravno, to podrazumijeva prethodno uklanjanje sve opreme koja vam može smetati. Bez ovog ojačanja u tom će se području najvjerojatnije vrlo brzo nakon sanacije pojaviti nove pukotine.

Na jednu krpu nanesite malo tamne boje, neke koju ćete poslije lakše ukloniti, te njome prijeđite područje koje želite tretirati. Nemojte čekati da se osuši, nego je odmah prebrišite čistom krpom namočenom s malo acetona. Boja zaostala u pukotinama čini ih vidljivijima, čak i one koje su golim okom teško uočljive.

Četiri koraka

Kod manjih zahvata dovoljno je koristiti mini brusilicu s konusnim svrdlom. Koristeći najveću brzinu, pratite svaku pukotinu zasebno, onako kako se proteže. Uz više plićih prijelaza uklonite gelcoat sve do laminata. Pokaže li se u stakloplastici bjelkasta linija koja prati pukotinu, izbrusite i taj sloj laminata. Za gusto isprepletene pukotine koristi se kutna brusilica s diskom od listića brusnog papira i tada se tretira cijela površina.

Nakon brušenja sve prebrišite acetonom ili sapunom i vodom te posušite. Kod plitkih kanala dovoljno ih je ispuniti gelcatom i prekriti plastičnom folijom ili ljepljivom trakom, jer se na zraku gelcoat neće temeljito stvrdnuti. Na starijim plovilima gelcoat je nešto tamniji od originala, pa treba pigmentima zamiješati odgovarajuću nijansu. Nešto dublje kanale prethodno dijelom punite gelcoat kitom ili gelcoatom zamiješanim u pastu s poliesterskim punilom, a vrlo duboke i šire kanale kitom sa staklenim vlaknima.

Osušenom gelcoatu treba brušenjem ukloniti višak. U početku koristite papir za mokro brušenje granulacije 220 i postupno mijenjajte papir granulacije većeg broja, barem do 600. Na kraju tretiranu i okolnu površinu polirajte.

Početkom godine kupio sam stariju i dobro održavanu desetmetarsku jedrilicu. Osim nekoliko manjih detalja s opremom, sve je bilo u vrlo dobrom stanju. To s opremom sam odmah riješio, ali ostao je još jedan detalj koji bih također želio srediti. Gelcoat na palubi na nekoliko mjesta ima zvjezdaste pukotine, neki ih zovu i paukova mreža. Kako se to može sanirati?

Takve pukotine na starijim plovilima nisu rijetke, a uglavnom nastanu zbog naprezanja palube na pojedinim pozicijama. Ponekad su te pukotine samo površinske, ne prodiru cijelom debljinom gelcoata, a nekad idu i dublje do laminata, pa je na tim mjestima gelcoat porozan. Ako je paluba izrađena u sendviču, problem može biti i nešto složeniji, naročito ako je jezgra od balze. Voda koja do nje prodre sakuplja se i razvija njezino truljenje. Gazeći po njima, primijetit ćete kako je paluba na tim mjestima mekša.

Više razloga

Razlog nastanka ovih pukotina nisu samo posljedice udarca ili naprezanja na određenim pozicijama. One mogu nastati još prilikom izvlačenja palube iz kalupa, ako se pri odvajanju paluba previše savije, a ponekad se pukotine prenesu i na stakloplastiku. Ako su uočljive, saniraju se odmah, ali ako ih se ne vidi, plovilo se isporuči bez tih popravaka. Postanu uočljive tek kad se u njima nakupi prljavština, a to može biti i godinama kasnije.

Kod sanacije prvo pokušajte otkriti koji je razlog nastanku ovih pukotina. Nekada se šire iz baze stupića ograde koji je u nekom trenutku bio nagnječen, a ponekad oko baze opreme pričvršćene za palubu koja u plovidbi vibrira ili se uvija. Često se pojavljuju oko oštrijih pregiba na palubi, naročito po kokpitu i uz kutove kabine. Oslabljena mjesta svakako bi bilo dobro s donje strane učvrstiti dodatnim laminatima stakloplastike ili dodavanjem dodatnog ojačanja. Naravno, to podrazumijeva prethodno uklanjanje sve opreme koja vam može smetati. Bez ovog ojačanja u tom će se području najvjerojatnije vrlo brzo nakon sanacije pojaviti nove pukotine.

Na jednu krpu nanesite malo tamne boje, neke koju ćete poslije lakše ukloniti, te njome prijeđite područje koje želite tretirati. Nemojte čekati da se osuši, nego je odmah prebrišite čistom krpom namočenom s malo acetona. Boja zaostala u pukotinama čini ih vidljivijima, čak i one koje su golim okom teško uočljive.

Četiri koraka

Kod manjih zahvata dovoljno je koristiti mini brusilicu s konusnim svrdlom. Koristeći najveću brzinu, pratite svaku pukotinu zasebno, onako kako se proteže. Uz više plićih prijelaza uklonite gelcoat sve do laminata. Pokaže li se u stakloplastici bjelkasta linija koja prati pukotinu, izbrusite i taj sloj laminata. Za gusto isprepletene pukotine koristi se kutna brusilica s diskom od listića brusnog papira i tada se tretira cijela površina.

Nakon brušenja sve prebrišite acetonom ili sapunom i vodom te posušite. Kod plitkih kanala dovoljno ih je ispuniti gelcatom i prekriti plastičnom folijom ili ljepljivom trakom, jer se na zraku gelcoat neće temeljito stvrdnuti. Na starijim plovilima gelcoat je nešto tamniji od originala, pa treba pigmentima zamiješati odgovarajuću nijansu. Nešto dublje kanale prethodno dijelom punite gelcoat kitom ili gelcoatom zamiješanim u pastu s poliesterskim punilom, a vrlo duboke i šire kanale kitom sa staklenim vlaknima.

Osušenom gelcoatu treba brušenjem ukloniti višak. U početku koristite papir za mokro brušenje granulacije 220 i postupno mijenjajte papir granulacije većeg broja, barem do 600. Na kraju tretiranu i okolnu površinu polirajte.
