U nedjelju, 8. siječnja, na dan kada je prije 55. godina između Šila i Klimna potonuo grčki brod Peltastis, točno u 12 sati članovi Ronilačkog centra Neptun iz Šila uz potporu Turističke zajednice Općine Dobrinj tradicionalno će u more na mjestu potonuća broda spustiti vijenac u spomen na osmoricu smrtno stradalih moreplovaca, piše portal Otok-Krk.

Podsjetimo, grčki brod Peltastis sagrađen je i porinut u more u brodogradilištu Kremer Sohn na sjeveru Njemačke krajem 1952. godine da bi početkom sljedeće 1953. godine bio predan svom naručitelju. To je bio omanji teretni brod od 874 tone koji je u početku nosio ime Alsterpark po nazivu njegove matične kompanije P/R Alsterpark iz Hamburga. Bio je to motorni brod tek nešto duži od 60 metara, namijenjen obalnoj plovidbi. Nakon 14 godina službe, točnije 1967. godine brod mijenja vlasnika. Novi vlasnik postaje grčka kompanija CHR M. Sarlis & Co. iz Pireja koja mu mijenja ime u Peltastis. No brod nažalost nije dugo plovio u rukama svog novog vlasnika.

U noći 8. siječnja 1968. godine dogodila se jedna od najvećih morskih tragedija u našem kraju. U 3 sata i 50 minuta brod Peltastis potonuo je otprilike na pola puta između Šila i Klimna, te sobom povukao sedam članova posade i kapetana Theodorosa Belesisa. Dan ranije, 7. siječnja u poslijepodnevnim satima brod je iz Jurjeva nakrcan drvom isplovio prema Rijeci. Kapetan Belesis oglušio se na upozorenje lučkog kapetana da ne isplovljava zbog jake bure. Nažalost, grčki kapetan podcijenio je snagu bure koja je u noći počela puhati orkanskom snagom. Nisu pomogli ni brodski motori ni sidra bačena u smjeru bure kojima se brod uzaludno pokušavao zaštiti od zanošenja broda prema strmoj obali. Sidra su proklizala kroz muljevito tlo i u 3,50 sati brod nošen burom potonuo je nakon što je udario u strmu obalu. Utopilo se sedam članova posade i kapetan, a četvorica su preživjela havariju uz teške ozljede.

Brod Peltastis danas je u relativno dobrom stanju, leži na dubini od osam do 30 metara, te predstavlja atrakciju za brojne ronioce.

U nedjelju, 8. siječnja, na dan kada je prije 55. godina između Šila i Klimna potonuo grčki brod Peltastis, točno u 12 sati članovi Ronilačkog centra Neptun iz Šila uz potporu Turističke zajednice Općine Dobrinj tradicionalno će u more na mjestu potonuća broda spustiti vijenac u spomen na osmoricu smrtno stradalih moreplovaca, piše portal Otok-Krk.

Podsjetimo, grčki brod Peltastis sagrađen je i porinut u more u brodogradilištu Kremer Sohn na sjeveru Njemačke krajem 1952. godine da bi početkom sljedeće 1953. godine bio predan svom naručitelju. To je bio omanji teretni brod od 874 tone koji je u početku nosio ime Alsterpark po nazivu njegove matične kompanije P/R Alsterpark iz Hamburga. Bio je to motorni brod tek nešto duži od 60 metara, namijenjen obalnoj plovidbi. Nakon 14 godina službe, točnije 1967. godine brod mijenja vlasnika. Novi vlasnik postaje grčka kompanija CHR M. Sarlis & Co. iz Pireja koja mu mijenja ime u Peltastis. No brod nažalost nije dugo plovio u rukama svog novog vlasnika.

U noći 8. siječnja 1968. godine dogodila se jedna od najvećih morskih tragedija u našem kraju. U 3 sata i 50 minuta brod Peltastis potonuo je otprilike na pola puta između Šila i Klimna, te sobom povukao sedam članova posade i kapetana Theodorosa Belesisa. Dan ranije, 7. siječnja u poslijepodnevnim satima brod je iz Jurjeva nakrcan drvom isplovio prema Rijeci. Kapetan Belesis oglušio se na upozorenje lučkog kapetana da ne isplovljava zbog jake bure. Nažalost, grčki kapetan podcijenio je snagu bure koja je u noći počela puhati orkanskom snagom. Nisu pomogli ni brodski motori ni sidra bačena u smjeru bure kojima se brod uzaludno pokušavao zaštiti od zanošenja broda prema strmoj obali. Sidra su proklizala kroz muljevito tlo i u 3,50 sati brod nošen burom potonuo je nakon što je udario u strmu obalu. Utopilo se sedam članova posade i kapetan, a četvorica su preživjela havariju uz teške ozljede.

Brod Peltastis danas je u relativno dobrom stanju, leži na dubini od osam do 30 metara, te predstavlja atrakciju za brojne ronioce.

potonuli ‘Peltastis‘Vijenac za poginule pomorce: obilježava se 55 godina od velike morske tragedije na Jadranu

U nedjelju, 8. siječnja, na dan kada je prije 55. godina između Šila i Klimna potonuo grčki brod Peltastis, točno u 12 sati članovi Ronilačkog centra Neptun iz Šila uz potporu Turističke zajednice Općine Dobrinj tradicionalno će u more na mjestu potonuća broda spustiti vijenac u spomen na osmoricu smrtno stradalih moreplovaca, piše portal Otok-Krk.

Podsjetimo, grčki brod Peltastis sagrađen je i porinut u more u brodogradilištu Kremer Sohn na sjeveru Njemačke krajem 1952. godine da bi početkom sljedeće 1953. godine bio predan svom naručitelju. To je bio omanji teretni brod od 874 tone koji je u početku nosio ime Alsterpark po nazivu njegove matične kompanije P/R Alsterpark iz Hamburga. Bio je to motorni brod tek nešto duži od 60 metara, namijenjen obalnoj plovidbi. Nakon 14 godina službe, točnije 1967. godine brod mijenja vlasnika. Novi vlasnik postaje grčka kompanija CHR M. Sarlis & Co. iz Pireja koja mu mijenja ime u Peltastis. No brod nažalost nije dugo plovio u rukama svog novog vlasnika.

U noći 8. siječnja 1968. godine dogodila se jedna od najvećih morskih tragedija u našem kraju. U 3 sata i 50 minuta brod Peltastis potonuo je otprilike na pola puta između Šila i Klimna, te sobom povukao sedam članova posade i kapetana Theodorosa Belesisa. Dan ranije, 7. siječnja u poslijepodnevnim satima brod je iz Jurjeva nakrcan drvom isplovio prema Rijeci. Kapetan Belesis oglušio se na upozorenje lučkog kapetana da ne isplovljava zbog jake bure. Nažalost, grčki kapetan podcijenio je snagu bure koja je u noći počela puhati orkanskom snagom. Nisu pomogli ni brodski motori ni sidra bačena u smjeru bure kojima se brod uzaludno pokušavao zaštiti od zanošenja broda prema strmoj obali. Sidra su proklizala kroz muljevito tlo i u 3,50 sati brod nošen burom potonuo je nakon što je udario u strmu obalu. Utopilo se sedam članova posade i kapetan, a četvorica su preživjela havariju uz teške ozljede.

Brod Peltastis danas je u relativno dobrom stanju, leži na dubini od osam do 30 metara, te predstavlja atrakciju za brojne ronioce.
