Europa se nastoji riješiti ovisnosti o ruskom plinu koji se dopremao cjevovodima i okrenula se uvozu ukapljenog plina.

Brodovi su pred obalama Starog kontinenta, ali i tržište ima svoj rezon, objašnjavaju analitičari za BBC.

Zapad je Rusiji zbog njezine invazije na Ukrajinu uveo opsežne sankcije, a Moskva je odgovorila uredbom o plaćanju u rubljama i smanjenim isporukama tokom ljeta.

Nakon problema s popravkom turbine isporuke ruskog plina cjevovodom Sjeverni tok 1 na dulji su rok dokončale eksplozije u Baltičkom moru koje su europske zemlje pripisale sabotaži. Rusija nije uključena u istragu, a krivac još nije poznat.

Cijene plina snažno su porasle, a Europa je pojačala uvoz ukapljenog plina kako bi osigurala opskrbu tokom zime.

Brodovi s LNG-om već su pred europskim obalama, ali teret još nije iskrcan.

"Broj brodova pred lukama raste unatrag nekih pet do šest tjedana, rekao bih", kaže za BBC Augustin Prate iz Kayrrosa, koji ih s kolegama prati putem signala automatskog identifikacijskog sustava (AIS).

"Jasno je kao dan da je u pitanju velika priča", smatra Prate.

Pa zašto brodovi natovareni ukapljenim prirodnim plinom (LNG) trenutno stoje pred obalama Europe?

Ispunjeni ciljevi

Analitičar Wood Mackenzieja Fraser Carson izbrojao ih je u listopadu 268 na vodenim površinama diljem svijeta, znatno više od godišnjeg prosjeka koji iznosi 241 brod.

Od onih koji su trenutno na moru 51 je brod blizu europskih obala.

Europske države kupovale su tijekom ljeta puno plina kako bi napunile skladišta i osigurale pokrivanje zimske potražnje, objašnjava Carson.

Prema početnom cilju, razina plina u skladištima trebala je do 1. studenoga iznositi 80 posto.

Cilj je ispunjen i premašen daleko prije planiranog roka i najnoviji podaci upućuju na zaključak da su skladišni kapaciteti napunjeni 95 posto.

Ključnu je ulogu u postizanju tog cilja u Europi odigrao uvezeni LNG.

No, budući da LNG i dalje pristiže, potražnja za kapacitetima za uplinjavanje i dalje je velika.

U Europi ih baš nema puno, djelomično i zato što se kontinent dugo oslanjao na plin koji je cjevovodima stizao iz Rusije.

Brodovi zato stoje u redu pred terminalima za uplinjavanje.

Njemačka i Nizozemska investirale su u nove kapacitete i očekuje se da će neki od njih početi s radom kroz par mjeseci.

Veća zarada

Europa istodobno trenutno troši manje plina no što je uobičajeno zbog neuobičajeno visokih temperatura za listopad.

Tome valja dodati i nižu razinu industrijskih aktivnosti koje se oslanjaju na plin, primjećuje suosnivač Kayrrosa Antoine Halff.

"Jako je dramatično smanjena proizvodnja cementa i čelika u Europi", objašnjava Halff za BBC.

U takvoj je situaciji cijena ukapljenog plina u terminskim ugovorima s duljim rokovima isporuke viša nego u ugovorima s rokovima isporuke već u studenome.

"Možete dobiti višu cijenu za isporuku u siječnju nego u studenome", kazao je.

Čak i ako se isporuka odgodi za samo mjesec dana, do prosinca, to može značiti i do nekoliko desetaka milijuna dolara veću zaradu po pošiljci, objašnjava urednica specijalizirane publikacije Lloyd‘s List Michelle Wiese Bockmann.

Geopolitika

Iako bi joj kupci u drugim dijelovima svijeta mogli preoteti dio tereta, Europa bi mogla imati i koristi od prekomjerne ponude LNG-a koji doslovno pluta pred njezinim obalama.

Dobro je što brodovi čekaju jer racionalno želite da vam plin bude na dohvat ruke, ako vam ustreba, objašnjavaju neki analitičari.

Problem je samo što su u igri ogromni iznosi. Neke su zemlje zbog grozničave potražnje za plinom već platile basnoslovne iznose kako bi ga nabavile.

Njemačka je tako na uvoz plina od siječnja do kolovoza utrošila 49,5 milijardi eura, citira BBC Reutersove izračune.

U istom prošlogodišnjem razdoblju uvoz ju je stajao 17,1 milijardu eura.

Tako tržište funkcionira, kazala je Bockmann, dodavši ipak da su europske zemlje "u najboljoj poziciji u kojoj mogu biti, s obzirom na geopolitičku situaciju".

Europa se nastoji riješiti ovisnosti o ruskom plinu koji se dopremao cjevovodima i okrenula se uvozu ukapljenog plina.

Brodovi su pred obalama Starog kontinenta, ali i tržište ima svoj rezon, objašnjavaju analitičari za BBC.

Zapad je Rusiji zbog njezine invazije na Ukrajinu uveo opsežne sankcije, a Moskva je odgovorila uredbom o plaćanju u rubljama i smanjenim isporukama tokom ljeta.

Nakon problema s popravkom turbine isporuke ruskog plina cjevovodom Sjeverni tok 1 na dulji su rok dokončale eksplozije u Baltičkom moru koje su europske zemlje pripisale sabotaži. Rusija nije uključena u istragu, a krivac još nije poznat.

Cijene plina snažno su porasle, a Europa je pojačala uvoz ukapljenog plina kako bi osigurala opskrbu tokom zime.

Brodovi s LNG-om već su pred europskim obalama, ali teret još nije iskrcan.

"Broj brodova pred lukama raste unatrag nekih pet do šest tjedana, rekao bih", kaže za BBC Augustin Prate iz Kayrrosa, koji ih s kolegama prati putem signala automatskog identifikacijskog sustava (AIS).

"Jasno je kao dan da je u pitanju velika priča", smatra Prate.

Pa zašto brodovi natovareni ukapljenim prirodnim plinom (LNG) trenutno stoje pred obalama Europe?

Ispunjeni ciljevi

Analitičar Wood Mackenzieja Fraser Carson izbrojao ih je u listopadu 268 na vodenim površinama diljem svijeta, znatno više od godišnjeg prosjeka koji iznosi 241 brod.

Od onih koji su trenutno na moru 51 je brod blizu europskih obala.

Europske države kupovale su tijekom ljeta puno plina kako bi napunile skladišta i osigurale pokrivanje zimske potražnje, objašnjava Carson.

Prema početnom cilju, razina plina u skladištima trebala je do 1. studenoga iznositi 80 posto.

Cilj je ispunjen i premašen daleko prije planiranog roka i najnoviji podaci upućuju na zaključak da su skladišni kapaciteti napunjeni 95 posto.

Ključnu je ulogu u postizanju tog cilja u Europi odigrao uvezeni LNG.

No, budući da LNG i dalje pristiže, potražnja za kapacitetima za uplinjavanje i dalje je velika.

U Europi ih baš nema puno, djelomično i zato što se kontinent dugo oslanjao na plin koji je cjevovodima stizao iz Rusije.

Brodovi zato stoje u redu pred terminalima za uplinjavanje.

Njemačka i Nizozemska investirale su u nove kapacitete i očekuje se da će neki od njih početi s radom kroz par mjeseci.

Veća zarada

Europa istodobno trenutno troši manje plina no što je uobičajeno zbog neuobičajeno visokih temperatura za listopad.

Tome valja dodati i nižu razinu industrijskih aktivnosti koje se oslanjaju na plin, primjećuje suosnivač Kayrrosa Antoine Halff.

"Jako je dramatično smanjena proizvodnja cementa i čelika u Europi", objašnjava Halff za BBC.

U takvoj je situaciji cijena ukapljenog plina u terminskim ugovorima s duljim rokovima isporuke viša nego u ugovorima s rokovima isporuke već u studenome.

"Možete dobiti višu cijenu za isporuku u siječnju nego u studenome", kazao je.

Problem je samo što su u igri ogromni iznosi. Neke su zemlje zbog grozničave potražnje za plinom već platile basnoslovne iznose kako bi ga nabavile.

Njemačka je tako na uvoz plina od siječnja do kolovoza utrošila 49,5 milijardi eura, citira BBC Reutersove izračune.
