Vlada Kanade, četvrtog svjetskog proizvođača nafte, odobrila je realizaciju spornog naftnog projekta u Atlantskom oceanu, rekao je u srijedu kanadski ministar zaštite okoliša Steven Guilbeault.

Projekt pod nazivom Sjeverni zaljev, kojeg je nositelj već godinama velika norveška kompanija Equinor, omogućit će dobivanje nafte iz nalazišta na dubini većoj od kilometra, 500 km od obale pokrajine Newfoundlanda. Projekt bi se trebao završiti 2028. 

"Projekt vađenja nafte Sjeverni zaljev može se nastaviti, uz pojedine, nikad strože uvjete zaštite okoliša, među kojima je i zahtjev dosad neviđen za neki naftni ili plinski projekt za postizanje ugljične neutralnosti do 2050.", rekao je ministar i bivši klimatski aktivist.

Iscrpna studija o zaštiti okoliša pokazala je da projekt neće prouzročiti veće negativne posljedice, dodao je ministar.

Odluka o projektu koji zeleni smatraju pravim ekološkim ispitom za vladu Justina Trudeaua, dvaput se odgađala zadnjih mjeseci.

Riječ je o petoj naftnoj platformi takve vrste u Kanadi na kojoj će se u 30 godina dobiti 300 milijuna barela nafte, navodi kompanija.

Zadnjih godina ekološki aktivisti često kritiziraju Justina Trudeaua zbog odluka u vezi s naftnim sektorom, napose zbog nacionalizacije naftovoda 2018.

Vlada Kanade, četvrtog svjetskog proizvođača nafte, odobrila je realizaciju spornog naftnog projekta u Atlantskom oceanu, rekao je u srijedu kanadski ministar zaštite okoliša Steven Guilbeault.

Projekt pod nazivom Sjeverni zaljev, kojeg je nositelj već godinama velika norveška kompanija Equinor, omogućit će dobivanje nafte iz nalazišta na dubini većoj od kilometra, 500 km od obale pokrajine Newfoundlanda. Projekt bi se trebao završiti 2028. 

"Projekt vađenja nafte Sjeverni zaljev može se nastaviti, uz pojedine, nikad strože uvjete zaštite okoliša, među kojima je i zahtjev dosad neviđen za neki naftni ili plinski projekt za postizanje ugljične neutralnosti do 2050.", rekao je ministar i bivši klimatski aktivist.

Iscrpna studija o zaštiti okoliša pokazala je da projekt neće prouzročiti veće negativne posljedice, dodao je ministar.

Odluka o projektu koji zeleni smatraju pravim ekološkim ispitom za vladu Justina Trudeaua, dvaput se odgađala zadnjih mjeseci.

Riječ je o petoj naftnoj platformi takve vrste u Kanadi na kojoj će se u 30 godina dobiti 300 milijuna barela nafte, navodi kompanija.

Zadnjih godina ekološki aktivisti često kritiziraju Justina Trudeaua zbog odluka u vezi s naftnim sektorom, napose zbog nacionalizacije naftovoda 2018.

Vlada Kanade, četvrtog svjetskog proizvođača nafte, odobrila je realizaciju spornog naftnog projekta u Atlantskom oceanu, rekao je u srijedu kanadski ministar zaštite okoliša Steven Guilbeault.

Projekt pod nazivom Sjeverni zaljev, kojeg je nositelj već godinama velika norveška kompanija Equinor, omogućit će dobivanje nafte iz nalazišta na dubini većoj od kilometra, 500 km od obale pokrajine Newfoundlanda. Projekt bi se trebao završiti 2028. 

"Projekt vađenja nafte Sjeverni zaljev može se nastaviti, uz pojedine, nikad strože uvjete zaštite okoliša, među kojima je i zahtjev dosad neviđen za neki naftni ili plinski projekt za postizanje ugljične neutralnosti do 2050.", rekao je ministar i bivši klimatski aktivist.

Iscrpna studija o zaštiti okoliša pokazala je da projekt neće prouzročiti veće negativne posljedice, dodao je ministar.

Odluka o projektu koji zeleni smatraju pravim ekološkim ispitom za vladu Justina Trudeaua, dvaput se odgađala zadnjih mjeseci.

Riječ je o petoj naftnoj platformi takve vrste u Kanadi na kojoj će se u 30 godina dobiti 300 milijuna barela nafte, navodi kompanija.

Zadnjih godina ekološki aktivisti često kritiziraju Justina Trudeaua zbog odluka u vezi s naftnim sektorom, napose zbog nacionalizacije naftovoda 2018.
