Vajalo se rano dignit, ma, to mi ovi put ni teško palo, nedilja je pa ne gren u školu, vengo u – kućice. To me dida vodi vatat kućice. Uputili se mi priko grada put Turske kule, lipo u Poljud. Sitan i mršav, ali žilav i pun force, dida nan je dava ritam. Još malo i evo nas na more. Poljud leži između Marjana na jugu i Malega rata na sjeveru.
Odamo uz more, a iza nas žica, vojska, ne more se daje. Na vrju kose tupine vidin jednu sivu drvenu kapunjeru, s crvenon zvizdon.
Već je zateplilo. More plitko, čisto, bistro, vanka sitno žalo. Omar san sinja jednega volka. Ponosno ga kažijen didi i pitan:
– Kakve su ti te kućice, reci mi kako izgledaju da i' i ja moren nać?
– Evo ovake, obične, kafenkaste oli zelenkaste – kažije mi jednu polovicu škojke.
– Ajme, nevidin nijednu takovu, biće triba ronit duboko.
– Ne triba ti ronit. Kućice nisu u more, vengo šoto nas, ovod ispod tvoje noge.
Brzo dižen nogu, gledan ga u čudu.
– Pa di će škojke živit na suvo?
– E, a zašto smo se digli ovako rano? Vaja ovod doć dok je oseka. Za koju uru, ovod će bit more do kolina. Dotad šta uvatimo, uvatimo.
Dida vazme jednu grančicu o' tamarisa, ubode štapicon utle jedno deset centimetri, malo probarka i op, izvadi jednu lipu, pravu škojku.
– Jesi vidija?
– Ala šta je to lako, to moren i ja. Nisan zna da se more vatat škojke nasuvo.
– Ajde mišu, sad lipo ti kopaj na jednu bandu, a ja ću na drugu.
– Aj'mo ko će višje izvadit!
Naša i ja jednu grančicu, maka se od dide dva-tri metra, čučnija i udri grebat po tleju. Kako štapicon činin rupu tako se ona puni moren. Šta dubje kopan zemja sve crnija, sve ka niko blato. Ništo san falija, ovod nima nijedne. Priko oka gledan staroga, svaku malo kućica mu je u ruci. Napunija je već po kesice.
– A dida, kako ti znaš di je?
– Iznad svake kućice je mala rupica u pijesku kroz koju škojka diše. Di vidiš ovaku rupicu tu ti je i škojka. Evo vidi, opla đilda, vidiš kako je ova velika.
E, moga san ja onako bez veze prikopat cili Poljud. Prignut, gledan po tleju između stinčic i pijeska. Vidin jednu rupicu, turan unutra štapicu, brčkan, okrićen, tražin. Onda vadin pijesak i blato šakaman ka žlicon.
– Evo je! Evo jedna! Vidi, naša san jednu! – skačen ka šašav i pokazujen je starome. Smije se, drago mu je, ne boji se on konkurence, gušta šta me ništo naučija. Ma ova mi je ništo sumnjiva, pari ka' da se more otvorit. Otvaran je a unutra puna crnoga blata. Prva pa ne vridi. Druga je vridila, i treća, i ostale. Iskopa san i' cilu šaku, šta većih šta manjih.
I tako san posta pravi lovac, tamanitej kućic. Malo po malo prokopali smo po Maloga rata. Sunce se diglo, zagrijalo je, a nas dva još lovimo.
– Dida, a je si li ti malo ono ka ogladnija? – pitan sramežjivo.
– To ti je ova čista arja otvorila apetit. A moreš pojist koju kućicu ka' si tako dobar lovac.
Gledan škojku u ruci, vrtin je. Kako ću je otvorit?
– Nemoj slomit zub, tvrda je. Vazmi kamen pa je istući ka mendulu – smije mi se dida ispod brka.
– Dobro, ajmo se malo odmorit. Skupi malo drv pa ćemo zapalit vatru.
Sili smo uz brig o' tupine. Dida bovanima napravi kolombar. a ja ga napunin karton o' nike stare Slobodne, malo grančic, bokun trstike, sve šta san naša naokolo. Stari izvadi škatulu španjuleti i zapali je'nu.
– Evo ti fajercag pa zapali.
Malo san opeka prste, ali vatra je zaplancala.
– A sad najdi koji stari važ o' konzerve.
Doni san dva-tri, za ne falit. Najvećega je dida stinon spljoštija i metnija ga poviše vatre.
– A sad odozgar stavi šaku kućic! – slididu komande.
Izabra san par većih i pomnjivo metnija na impeštanu latu o' važa. Gledan da se koja ne bi privrnila u vatru. Posli malo vrimena prva se pinku otvori. More se izlije iz nje po lati i zadimi. Kućica se otvori i pruži nika dva ka pipka. Borami ni joj bilo lako. Dida je uvati s dva prsta, pune u nju da se malo oladi i popije more iz nje. Onda je otvori prstiman i uslast pojide.
– Eto vidiš, ajde sa' ti!
Sa strajon san prvu proguca ka' da jeman niki grop u grkljan, druge su same išle nizdol. Teplo, slano, miris i okus mora. Ostalo je i malo pijeska u ustiman, ali glad je prošla.
A onda, odozgar s tupine, iz one kapunjere izajde jedan vojnik, s kacigon i puškon.
- Ej vi, šta se radi? – vojnik stražar strogo gleda moga didu.
- Ništa, evo sadimo u plićaku ove male školjke, pa će tamo u deveti misec narast velike ka lepinje – dida se pravi ozbiljan.
- Veliki si ti šeret starino. Nego, je l' još pušiš one cigare Zeta Sarajevo?
- Je, jeman još dvi-tri cigarete, ajde dojdi vazest – pruža mu dida polupraznu škatulu.
- Znaš da ne smem, što se šegaćiš. Dete, ajde dodaj mi tu kutiju kad mi je već nudi.
Uzeja san didine cigarete i hrabro se uspeja do pravog vojnika s puškom.
- Hvala ti dete. Hvala i tebi barba. Ja sam stara kuka, brojim do civilstva još samo 033 dana, šteta šta neću da budem tu u septembru kada narastu te tvoje lepinje. Ajde sretno drugari.
Stražar se okrene na peti, a nas dvojica počnemo kupit svoje stvari. Cili san ulov stavija u didinu kesu, to smo ionako nas dva skupa uvatili, vidi koliko i' jema. U zanji čas smo prošli po suvome, more došlo sve do tupine. Pokrilo je rupe šta smo kopali.
Vikovna igra mora i kraja.
Put pod noge, biće veseja ka' dojdemo doma. Zna se, danas dida za obid kuva kućice na buzaru. Niko ka' on to ne zna spremit, malo luka, petrisimula, maslinova ulja, lizat ćemo prste.
Ka' smo došli doma, trevin babu u koridur:

Vajalo se rano dignit, ma, to mi ovi put ni teško palo, nedilja je pa ne gren u školu, vengo u – kućice. To me dida vodi vatat kućice. Uputili se mi priko grada put Turske kule, lipo u Poljud. Sitan i mršav, ali žilav i pun force, dida nan je dava ritam. Još malo i evo nas na more. Poljud leži između Marjana na jugu i Malega rata na sjeveru.
Odamo uz more, a iza nas žica, vojska, ne more se daje. Na vrju kose tupine vidin jednu sivu drvenu kapunjeru, s crvenon zvizdon.
Već je zateplilo. More plitko, čisto, bistro, vanka sitno žalo. Omar san sinja jednega volka. Ponosno ga kažijen didi i pitan:
– Kakve su ti te kućice, reci mi kako izgledaju da i' i ja moren nać?
– Evo ovake, obične, kafenkaste oli zelenkaste – kažije mi jednu polovicu škojke.
– Ajme, nevidin nijednu takovu, biće triba ronit duboko.
– Ne triba ti ronit. Kućice nisu u more, vengo šoto nas, ovod ispod tvoje noge.
Brzo dižen nogu, gledan ga u čudu.
– Pa di će škojke živit na suvo?
– E, a zašto smo se digli ovako rano? Vaja ovod doć dok je oseka. Za koju uru, ovod će bit more do kolina. Dotad šta uvatimo, uvatimo.
Dida vazme jednu grančicu o' tamarisa, ubode štapicon utle jedno deset centimetri, malo probarka i op, izvadi jednu lipu, pravu škojku.
– Jesi vidija?
– Ala šta je to lako, to moren i ja. Nisan zna da se more vatat škojke nasuvo.
– Ajde mišu, sad lipo ti kopaj na jednu bandu, a ja ću na drugu.
– Aj'mo ko će višje izvadit!
Naša i ja jednu grančicu, maka se od dide dva-tri metra, čučnija i udri grebat po tleju. Kako štapicon činin rupu tako se ona puni moren. Šta dubje kopan zemja sve crnija, sve ka niko blato. Ništo san falija, ovod nima nijedne. Priko oka gledan staroga, svaku malo kućica mu je u ruci. Napunija je već po kesice.
– A dida, kako ti znaš di je?
– Iznad svake kućice je mala rupica u pijesku kroz koju škojka diše. Di vidiš ovaku rupicu tu ti je i škojka. Evo vidi, opla đilda, vidiš kako je ova velika.
E, moga san ja onako bez veze prikopat cili Poljud. Prignut, gledan po tleju između stinčic i pijeska. Vidin jednu rupicu, turan unutra štapicu, brčkan, okrićen, tražin. Onda vadin pijesak i blato šakaman ka žlicon.
– Evo je! Evo jedna! Vidi, naša san jednu! – skačen ka šašav i pokazujen je starome. Smije se, drago mu je, ne boji se on konkurence, gušta šta me ništo naučija. Ma ova mi je ništo sumnjiva, pari ka' da se more otvorit. Otvaran je a unutra puna crnoga blata. Prva pa ne vridi. Druga je vridila, i treća, i ostale. Iskopa san i' cilu šaku, šta većih šta manjih.
I tako san posta pravi lovac, tamanitej kućic. Malo po malo prokopali smo po Maloga rata. Sunce se diglo, zagrijalo je, a nas dva još lovimo.
– Dida, a je si li ti malo ono ka ogladnija? – pitan sramežjivo.
– To ti je ova čista arja otvorila apetit. A moreš pojist koju kućicu ka' si tako dobar lovac.
Gledan škojku u ruci, vrtin je. Kako ću je otvorit?
– Nemoj slomit zub, tvrda je. Vazmi kamen pa je istući ka mendulu – smije mi se dida ispod brka.
– Dobro, ajmo se malo odmorit. Skupi malo drv pa ćemo zapalit vatru.
Sili smo uz brig o' tupine. Dida bovanima napravi kolombar. a ja ga napunin karton o' nike stare Slobodne, malo grančic, bokun trstike, sve šta san naša naokolo. Stari izvadi škatulu španjuleti i zapali je'nu.
– Evo ti fajercag pa zapali.
Malo san opeka prste, ali vatra je zaplancala.
– A sad najdi koji stari važ o' konzerve.
Doni san dva-tri, za ne falit. Najvećega je dida stinon spljoštija i metnija ga poviše vatre.
– A sad odozgar stavi šaku kućic! – slididu komande.
Izabra san par većih i pomnjivo metnija na impeštanu latu o' važa. Gledan da se koja ne bi privrnila u vatru. Posli malo vrimena prva se pinku otvori. More se izlije iz nje po lati i zadimi. Kućica se otvori i pruži nika dva ka pipka. Borami ni joj bilo lako. Dida je uvati s dva prsta, pune u nju da se malo oladi i popije more iz nje. Onda je otvori prstiman i uslast pojide.
– Eto vidiš, ajde sa' ti!
Sa strajon san prvu proguca ka' da jeman niki grop u grkljan, druge su same išle nizdol. Teplo, slano, miris i okus mora. Ostalo je i malo pijeska u ustiman, ali glad je prošla.
A onda, odozgar s tupine, iz one kapunjere izajde jedan vojnik, s kacigon i puškon.
- Ej vi, šta se radi? – vojnik stražar strogo gleda moga didu.
- Ništa, evo sadimo u plićaku ove male školjke, pa će tamo u deveti misec narast velike ka lepinje – dida se pravi ozbiljan.
- Veliki si ti šeret starino. Nego, je l' još pušiš one cigare Zeta Sarajevo?
- Je, jeman još dvi-tri cigarete, ajde dojdi vazest – pruža mu dida polupraznu škatulu.
- Znaš da ne smem, što se šegaćiš. Dete, ajde dodaj mi tu kutiju kad mi je već nudi.
Uzeja san didine cigarete i hrabro se uspeja do pravog vojnika s puškom.
- Hvala ti dete. Hvala i tebi barba. Ja sam stara kuka, brojim do civilstva još samo 033 dana, šteta šta neću da budem tu u septembru kada narastu te tvoje lepinje. Ajde sretno drugari.
Stražar se okrene na peti, a nas dvojica počnemo kupit svoje stvari. Cili san ulov stavija u didinu kesu, to smo ionako nas dva skupa uvatili, vidi koliko i' jema. U zanji čas smo prošli po suvome, more došlo sve do tupine. Pokrilo je rupe šta smo kopali.
Vikovna igra mora i kraja.
Put pod noge, biće veseja ka' dojdemo doma. Zna se, danas dida za obid kuva kućice na buzaru. Niko ka' on to ne zna spremit, malo luka, petrisimula, maslinova ulja, lizat ćemo prste.
