Muškarac koji je usred noći s kruzera pao u more Meksičkog zaljeva ispričao je kako je preživio 20 sati u valovima, koliko je trebalo da ga nađu spasioci.

Njegovo lociranje i preživljavanje samo je po sebi malo čudo, no James Michael Grimes ispričao je kako svoj život duguje vlastitom instinktu i borbi za život.

Grimes je u emisiji "Dobro jutro, Amerika" rekao da je štedio snagu koristeći tehnike plivanja za održavanje na površini. Njegova borba za život počela je dan uoči američkog Dana zahvalnosti, malo nakon što se oko 23 sata digao od stola na brodu Carnival Valor. Sestri je rekao da ide na zahod. To je posljednje čega se sjeća iako kaže nije bio pijan.

Popio je nekoliko pića, rekao sestri kamo ide, a sljedeće čega se sjeća je sebe u moru na pola puta između New Orleansa i meksičkog otoka Cozumel. Sljedećih 20 sati proveo je boreći se s morem, ali i meduzama te velikom ribom s perajom koju nije prepoznao, ali kaže da nije morski pas.

- Jako mi je brzo prišla, zaronio sam i vidio je. Ali mislim da to nije bio morski pas - rekao je. - Imala je spljoštena usta, krenula je prema meni i udarila o moju nogu. Drugom nogom sam je šutnuo - kaže Grimes dodajući da se prepao jer nije znao o kojoj je ribi riječ. Sve što je vidio bila je peraja, donosi Jutarnji list. 

Dok je padala noć, a Grimes još čekao spasioce, morao je, kaže, jesti naplavine oko sebe kako bi održao energiju. Među ostalim je pojeo i komad bambusove daščice.

- Dala mi je u ustima okus nečega što nije slana voda - rekao je Grimes. Nikada, ističe, nije pomislio ili prihvatio da bi to mogao biti njegov kraj.

- Nisam pristajao na to da to bude kraj mog života - rekao je.

U priopćenju koje su poslali američkim medijima kompanija Carnival istaknula je da je jedini način da se padne s njihova kruzera, penjanje preko sigurnosnih barijera.

Shant‘a Miller White, putnica koja se s obitelji zatekla na brodu, izjavila je da kompanija nije bila posve otvorena u vezi s tim događajem.

- Nakon što smo čuli da je netko pao, u mene se uvukao strah. Isprva je kolala priča da je riječ o djetetu. Kasnije smo doznali da je riječ o odrasloj osobi. Samo smo čuli kako prozivaju ime preko razglasa. Nismo znali što će se dalje događati jer u tom smo trenutku bili predaleko i nismo imali signal na telefonima - rekla je.

Dok je trajala večera za Dan zahvalnosti, obaviješteni su da se brod okreće kako bi sudjelovao u akciji potrage i spašavanja.

Da je muškarac spašen, doznala je kad je ponovno dobila signal na mobitelu i kad su joj članovi obitelji poslali snimke dnevnika.

- Sretna sam što je živ, ali mislim da kompanija nije najbolje informirala putnike o događaju - ispričala je.

Muškarac koji je usred noći s kruzera pao u more Meksičkog zaljeva ispričao je kako je preživio 20 sati u valovima, koliko je trebalo da ga nađu spasioci.

Njegovo lociranje i preživljavanje samo je po sebi malo čudo, no James Michael Grimes ispričao je kako svoj život duguje vlastitom instinktu i borbi za život.

Grimes je u emisiji "Dobro jutro, Amerika" rekao da je štedio snagu koristeći tehnike plivanja za održavanje na površini. Njegova borba za život počela je dan uoči američkog Dana zahvalnosti, malo nakon što se oko 23 sata digao od stola na brodu Carnival Valor. Sestri je rekao da ide na zahod. To je posljednje čega se sjeća iako kaže nije bio pijan.

Popio je nekoliko pića, rekao sestri kamo ide, a sljedeće čega se sjeća je sebe u moru na pola puta između New Orleansa i meksičkog otoka Cozumel. Sljedećih 20 sati proveo je boreći se s morem, ali i meduzama te velikom ribom s perajom koju nije prepoznao, ali kaže da nije morski pas.

- Jako mi je brzo prišla, zaronio sam i vidio je. Ali mislim da to nije bio morski pas - rekao je. - Imala je spljoštena usta, krenula je prema meni i udarila o moju nogu. Drugom nogom sam je šutnuo - kaže Grimes dodajući da se prepao jer nije znao o kojoj je ribi riječ. Sve što je vidio bila je peraja, donosi Jutarnji list. 

Dok je padala noć, a Grimes još čekao spasioce, morao je, kaže, jesti naplavine oko sebe kako bi održao energiju. Među ostalim je pojeo i komad bambusove daščice.

- Dala mi je u ustima okus nečega što nije slana voda - rekao je Grimes. Nikada, ističe, nije pomislio ili prihvatio da bi to mogao biti njegov kraj.

- Nisam pristajao na to da to bude kraj mog života - rekao je.

U priopćenju koje su poslali američkim medijima kompanija Carnival istaknula je da je jedini način da se padne s njihova kruzera, penjanje preko sigurnosnih barijera.

Shant‘a Miller White, putnica koja se s obitelji zatekla na brodu, izjavila je da kompanija nije bila posve otvorena u vezi s tim događajem.

- Nakon što smo čuli da je netko pao, u mene se uvukao strah. Isprva je kolala priča da je riječ o djetetu. Kasnije smo doznali da je riječ o odrasloj osobi. Samo smo čuli kako prozivaju ime preko razglasa. Nismo znali što će se dalje događati jer u tom smo trenutku bili predaleko i nismo imali signal na telefonima - rekla je.

Dok je trajala večera za Dan zahvalnosti, obaviješteni su da se brod okreće kako bi sudjelovao u akciji potrage i spašavanja.

Muškarac koji je usred noći s kruzera pao u more Meksičkog zaljeva ispričao je kako je preživio 20 sati u valovima, koliko je trebalo da ga nađu spasioci.

Njegovo lociranje i preživljavanje samo je po sebi malo čudo, no James Michael Grimes ispričao je kako svoj život duguje vlastitom instinktu i borbi za život.

Grimes je u emisiji "Dobro jutro, Amerika" rekao da je štedio snagu koristeći tehnike plivanja za održavanje na površini. Njegova borba za život počela je dan uoči američkog Dana zahvalnosti, malo nakon što se oko 23 sata digao od stola na brodu Carnival Valor. Sestri je rekao da ide na zahod. To je posljednje čega se sjeća iako kaže nije bio pijan.

Popio je nekoliko pića, rekao sestri kamo ide, a sljedeće čega se sjeća je sebe u moru na pola puta između New Orleansa i meksičkog otoka Cozumel. Sljedećih 20 sati proveo je boreći se s morem, ali i meduzama te velikom ribom s perajom koju nije prepoznao, ali kaže da nije morski pas.

- Jako mi je brzo prišla, zaronio sam i vidio je. Ali mislim da to nije bio morski pas - rekao je. - Imala je spljoštena usta, krenula je prema meni i udarila o moju nogu. Drugom nogom sam je šutnuo - kaže Grimes dodajući da se prepao jer nije znao o kojoj je ribi riječ. Sve što je vidio bila je peraja, donosi Jutarnji list. 

Dok je padala noć, a Grimes još čekao spasioce, morao je, kaže, jesti naplavine oko sebe kako bi održao energiju. Među ostalim je pojeo i komad bambusove daščice.

- Dala mi je u ustima okus nečega što nije slana voda - rekao je Grimes. Nikada, ističe, nije pomislio ili prihvatio da bi to mogao biti njegov kraj.

- Nisam pristajao na to da to bude kraj mog života - rekao je.

U priopćenju koje su poslali američkim medijima kompanija Carnival istaknula je da je jedini način da se padne s njihova kruzera, penjanje preko sigurnosnih barijera.

Shant‘a Miller White, putnica koja se s obitelji zatekla na brodu, izjavila je da kompanija nije bila posve otvorena u vezi s tim događajem.

- Nakon što smo čuli da je netko pao, u mene se uvukao strah. Isprva je kolala priča da je riječ o djetetu. Kasnije smo doznali da je riječ o odrasloj osobi. Samo smo čuli kako prozivaju ime preko razglasa. Nismo znali što će se dalje događati jer u tom smo trenutku bili predaleko i nismo imali signal na telefonima - rekla je.

Dok je trajala večera za Dan zahvalnosti, obaviješteni su da se brod okreće kako bi sudjelovao u akciji potrage i spašavanja.
