Brod kralja Khufua, drevno plovilo koje je najstariji i najveći drveni brod ikad otkriven u Egiptu, mukotrpno je premješten iz svog dugogodišnjeg doma uz piramide u Gizi u obližnji muzej, javlja Reuters.

Brod star 4600 godina, poznat i kao solarni brod, premješten je u obližnji Veliki egipatski muzej (GEM), koji bi trebao biti otvoren kasnije ove godine.

"Cilj ovog projekta prijevoza je zaštititi i očuvati najveći i najstariji artefakt izrađen od drveta u povijesti čovječanstva za buduće generacije", navodi se u priopćenju Ministarstva turizma i starina.

Za prijevoz broda izgrađenog od cedrovine, dugačkog 42 metra i teškog 20 tona, trebalo je 48 sati. 

Brod je transportiran u jednom dijelu unutar metalnog kaveza koji se prevozio na vozilu s daljinskim upravljanjem dovezenim posebno za ovu operaciju, rekao je Atef Moftah, glavni nadzornik projekta.

Brod, otkriven 1954. na južnom kutu Velike piramide, desetljećima je bio izložen u muzeju na visoravni Giza.

Smatra se da je brod, opisan kao solarni brod, izgrađen kako bi faraon nakon smrti mogao ploviti nebom.

Egipatske vlasti kažu da će Veliki egipatski muzej, koji se s prekidima gradi već 17 godina, kada se otvori sadržavati više od 100.000 artefakata.

Brod kralja Khufua, drevno plovilo koje je najstariji i najveći drveni brod ikad otkriven u Egiptu, mukotrpno je premješten iz svog dugogodišnjeg doma uz piramide u Gizi u obližnji muzej, javlja Reuters.

Brod star 4600 godina, poznat i kao solarni brod, premješten je u obližnji Veliki egipatski muzej (GEM), koji bi trebao biti otvoren kasnije ove godine.

"Cilj ovog projekta prijevoza je zaštititi i očuvati najveći i najstariji artefakt izrađen od drveta u povijesti čovječanstva za buduće generacije", navodi se u priopćenju Ministarstva turizma i starina.

Za prijevoz broda izgrađenog od cedrovine, dugačkog 42 metra i teškog 20 tona, trebalo je 48 sati. 

Brod je transportiran u jednom dijelu unutar metalnog kaveza koji se prevozio na vozilu s daljinskim upravljanjem dovezenim posebno za ovu operaciju, rekao je Atef Moftah, glavni nadzornik projekta.

Brod, otkriven 1954. na južnom kutu Velike piramide, desetljećima je bio izložen u muzeju na visoravni Giza.

Smatra se da je brod, opisan kao solarni brod, izgrađen kako bi faraon nakon smrti mogao ploviti nebom.

Egipatske vlasti kažu da će Veliki egipatski muzej, koji se s prekidima gradi već 17 godina, kada se otvori sadržavati više od 100.000 artefakata.

Brod kralja Khufua, drevno plovilo koje je najstariji i najveći drveni brod ikad otkriven u Egiptu, mukotrpno je premješten iz svog dugogodišnjeg doma uz piramide u Gizi u obližnji muzej, javlja Reuters.

Brod star 4600 godina, poznat i kao solarni brod, premješten je u obližnji Veliki egipatski muzej (GEM), koji bi trebao biti otvoren kasnije ove godine.

"Cilj ovog projekta prijevoza je zaštititi i očuvati najveći i najstariji artefakt izrađen od drveta u povijesti čovječanstva za buduće generacije", navodi se u priopćenju Ministarstva turizma i starina.

Za prijevoz broda izgrađenog od cedrovine, dugačkog 42 metra i teškog 20 tona, trebalo je 48 sati. 

Brod je transportiran u jednom dijelu unutar metalnog kaveza koji se prevozio na vozilu s daljinskim upravljanjem dovezenim posebno za ovu operaciju, rekao je Atef Moftah, glavni nadzornik projekta.

Brod, otkriven 1954. na južnom kutu Velike piramide, desetljećima je bio izložen u muzeju na visoravni Giza.

Smatra se da je brod, opisan kao solarni brod, izgrađen kako bi faraon nakon smrti mogao ploviti nebom.

Egipatske vlasti kažu da će Veliki egipatski muzej, koji se s prekidima gradi već 17 godina, kada se otvori sadržavati više od 100.000 artefakata.
