Nakon što je u talijanskoj Andori prije mjesec dana peti put postao europski prvak u klasi ILCA 7, te se na taj način izjednačio s Britancem Paulom Goodisonom na prvom mjestu svih vremena, Tonči Stipanović je nastavio žetvu medalja na velikim jedriličarskim regatama osvojivši broncu na prvom ovosezonskom natjecanju Svjetskog kupa. Splitski jedriličar je u plovu za medalje na 52. izdanju Trofeo Princesa Sofia na Mallorci kroz cilj prošao kao drugi, a u kombinaciji s tek 6. mjestom klupskog kolege iz Mornara Pavlosa Kontidesa, Stipanović je prestigao Cipranina za ukupno 3. poziciju i mjesto na postolju. Oba su završila s ukupno 73 negativna boda, ali medalja pripada Stipanoviću zbog boljeg rezultata u plovu za medalje. 

Srebro je Stipanoviću pobjeglo za jedan bod, na 2. mjesto se s petog probio Novozelanđanin George Gautrey kao pobjednik plova za medalje, a zlato je još prije osigurao Britanac Michael Beckett. Splićaninu je ovo čak šesta medalja sa Svjetskog kupa na Mallorci, imao je četiri srebra, a sada ima i dvije bronce. 

- Nije loše za staroga čovjeka! – bio je prvi komentar 36-godišnjeg Stipanovića, očito zadovoljnog raspletom plova za medalje. 

Istina, dok je on bježao Kontidesu, njemu je utekao Gautrey, ali medalja je tu, oko njegovog vrata. 

- Ušao sam bez kalkulacija u „medal race“, odlučio sam poći u lijevu stranu i nije to bio loš odabir. Dapače, ali isto je napravio Gautrey i smjestio se ispred mene, nisam ga mogao stići. 

Ukupno, naglasili smo već, zadovoljan je Stipanović. 

- Druga regata ove godine i druga medalja, moram biti zadovoljan. I to uz saznanje da nisam jedrio onako dobro kao na Europskom prvenstvu. Ono u čemu sam najjači, jedrenje u krmu, tu sam jedrio najlošije posljednjih nekoliko dana. 

Ostat će još tri dana na Mallorci odmoriti, možda sretne usput Rafaela Nadala, jer to mu je velika želja. Uskoro će regata u Hyeresu, za dva tjedna, a svakom jedriličaru je najveći gušt jedriti u Heyresu, popularno tretiranom kao jedriličarskom Wimbledonu. 

Martin Dolenc je okončao nastup u Formuli Kite na 5. mjestu i tako još jednom nagovijestio da bi mogao biti jak hrvatski adut na Olimpijskim igrama u Parizu sljedeće godine (regatno polje će, inače, biti u Marseilleu). 

Elena Vorobjeva je, pak, nakon plova za medalje u klasi ILCA 6 završila na 10. mjestu. Za nju je to fantastičan rezultat, biti među deset najboljih, biti uz bok najboljima kao što su Marit Bouwmeester, Zoe Thomson, Maxime Jonker…

Nakon što je u talijanskoj Andori prije mjesec dana peti put postao europski prvak u klasi ILCA 7, te se na taj način izjednačio s Britancem Paulom Goodisonom na prvom mjestu svih vremena, Tonči Stipanović je nastavio žetvu medalja na velikim jedriličarskim regatama osvojivši broncu na prvom ovosezonskom natjecanju Svjetskog kupa. Splitski jedriličar je u plovu za medalje na 52. izdanju Trofeo Princesa Sofia na Mallorci kroz cilj prošao kao drugi, a u kombinaciji s tek 6. mjestom klupskog kolege iz Mornara Pavlosa Kontidesa, Stipanović je prestigao Cipranina za ukupno 3. poziciju i mjesto na postolju. Oba su završila s ukupno 73 negativna boda, ali medalja pripada Stipanoviću zbog boljeg rezultata u plovu za medalje. 

Srebro je Stipanoviću pobjeglo za jedan bod, na 2. mjesto se s petog probio Novozelanđanin George Gautrey kao pobjednik plova za medalje, a zlato je još prije osigurao Britanac Michael Beckett. Splićaninu je ovo čak šesta medalja sa Svjetskog kupa na Mallorci, imao je četiri srebra, a sada ima i dvije bronce. 

- Nije loše za staroga čovjeka! – bio je prvi komentar 36-godišnjeg Stipanovića, očito zadovoljnog raspletom plova za medalje. 

Istina, dok je on bježao Kontidesu, njemu je utekao Gautrey, ali medalja je tu, oko njegovog vrata. 

- Ušao sam bez kalkulacija u „medal race“, odlučio sam poći u lijevu stranu i nije to bio loš odabir. Dapače, ali isto je napravio Gautrey i smjestio se ispred mene, nisam ga mogao stići. 

Ukupno, naglasili smo već, zadovoljan je Stipanović. 

- Druga regata ove godine i druga medalja, moram biti zadovoljan. I to uz saznanje da nisam jedrio onako dobro kao na Europskom prvenstvu. Ono u čemu sam najjači, jedrenje u krmu, tu sam jedrio najlošije posljednjih nekoliko dana. 

Ostat će još tri dana na Mallorci odmoriti, možda sretne usput Rafaela Nadala, jer to mu je velika želja. Uskoro će regata u Hyeresu, za dva tjedna, a svakom jedriličaru je najveći gušt jedriti u Heyresu, popularno tretiranom kao jedriličarskom Wimbledonu. 

Martin Dolenc je okončao nastup u Formuli Kite na 5. mjestu i tako još jednom nagovijestio da bi mogao biti jak hrvatski adut na Olimpijskim igrama u Parizu sljedeće godine (regatno polje će, inače, biti u Marseilleu). 

Elena Vorobjeva je, pak, nakon plova za medalje u klasi ILCA 6 završila na 10. mjestu. Za nju je to fantastičan rezultat, biti među deset najboljih, biti uz bok najboljima kao što su Marit Bouwmeester, Zoe Thomson, Maxime Jonker…

Nakon što je u talijanskoj Andori prije mjesec dana peti put postao europski prvak u klasi ILCA 7, te se na taj način izjednačio s Britancem Paulom Goodisonom na prvom mjestu svih vremena, Tonči Stipanović je nastavio žetvu medalja na velikim jedriličarskim regatama osvojivši broncu na prvom ovosezonskom natjecanju Svjetskog kupa. Splitski jedriličar je u plovu za medalje na 52. izdanju Trofeo Princesa Sofia na Mallorci kroz cilj prošao kao drugi, a u kombinaciji s tek 6. mjestom klupskog kolege iz Mornara Pavlosa Kontidesa, Stipanović je prestigao Cipranina za ukupno 3. poziciju i mjesto na postolju. Oba su završila s ukupno 73 negativna boda, ali medalja pripada Stipanoviću zbog boljeg rezultata u plovu za medalje. 

Srebro je Stipanoviću pobjeglo za jedan bod, na 2. mjesto se s petog probio Novozelanđanin George Gautrey kao pobjednik plova za medalje, a zlato je još prije osigurao Britanac Michael Beckett. Splićaninu je ovo čak šesta medalja sa Svjetskog kupa na Mallorci, imao je četiri srebra, a sada ima i dvije bronce. 

- Nije loše za staroga čovjeka! – bio je prvi komentar 36-godišnjeg Stipanovića, očito zadovoljnog raspletom plova za medalje. 

Istina, dok je on bježao Kontidesu, njemu je utekao Gautrey, ali medalja je tu, oko njegovog vrata. 

- Ušao sam bez kalkulacija u „medal race“, odlučio sam poći u lijevu stranu i nije to bio loš odabir. Dapače, ali isto je napravio Gautrey i smjestio se ispred mene, nisam ga mogao stići. 

Ukupno, naglasili smo već, zadovoljan je Stipanović. 

- Druga regata ove godine i druga medalja, moram biti zadovoljan. I to uz saznanje da nisam jedrio onako dobro kao na Europskom prvenstvu. Ono u čemu sam najjači, jedrenje u krmu, tu sam jedrio najlošije posljednjih nekoliko dana.
