Juneau na Aljasci postao je posljednja popularna luka za krstarenja koja je pristala na ograničenja priljeva putnika na krstarenjima tijekom vrhunca sezone, a sve na osnovu pritužbi stanovnika o štetnim učincima prekomjernog kruzerskog turizma.

Gradski dužnosnici najavili su sporazum s međunarodnom udrugom Cruise Lines dok je sezona 2023. započela dolaskom prvog broda za krstarenje u ponedjeljak, 17. travnja. Međutim, kritičari se pitaju je li napor dovoljan da se upravlja priljevom za koji kažu da je preplavio mali grad, o čemu piše maritime-executive.com.

Grad i općina Juneau i udruga industrije krstarenja koja predstavlja glavne tvrtke za krstarenja potpisali su sporazum koji stupa na snagu sa sezonom krstarenja 2024. godine. Njime se formalizira već utvrđeno ograničenje od pet velikih brodova za krstarenje dnevno u Juneauu bez postavljanja ograničenja broja putnika ili ljudi koji dolaze na obalu, što su druga odredišta poput Key Westa i Bar Harbora također nastojala uključiti u svoja ograničenja.

Prema riječima gradskih dužnosnika, prag od pet velikih brodova dnevno namijenjen je pružanju pozitivnog iskustva za dobrobit i stanovnika i posjetitelja, istovremeno pružajući pouzdano tržište za mnoge lokalne tvrtke koje se oslanjaju na industriju posjetitelja, posebno krstarenja. Rekli su da to također pokazuje partnerstvo suradnje koje postoji između zajednice i industrije krstarenja.

Pozivi na ograničenja postali su glasniji kako se industrija krstarenja oporavljala od pandemije. Budući da mnogi putnici žele ostati bliže domu, Aljaska je i dalje popularno odredište i jedno od prvih koje se vratilo na rekordnu razinu posjetitelja zabilježenu 2019.

Juneau na Aljasci postao je posljednja popularna luka za krstarenja koja je pristala na ograničenja priljeva putnika na krstarenjima tijekom vrhunca sezone, a sve na osnovu pritužbi stanovnika o štetnim učincima prekomjernog kruzerskog turizma.

Gradski dužnosnici najavili su sporazum s međunarodnom udrugom Cruise Lines dok je sezona 2023. započela dolaskom prvog broda za krstarenje u ponedjeljak, 17. travnja. Međutim, kritičari se pitaju je li napor dovoljan da se upravlja priljevom za koji kažu da je preplavio mali grad, o čemu piše maritime-executive.com.

Grad i općina Juneau i udruga industrije krstarenja koja predstavlja glavne tvrtke za krstarenja potpisali su sporazum koji stupa na snagu sa sezonom krstarenja 2024. godine. Njime se formalizira već utvrđeno ograničenje od pet velikih brodova za krstarenje dnevno u Juneauu bez postavljanja ograničenja broja putnika ili ljudi koji dolaze na obalu, što su druga odredišta poput Key Westa i Bar Harbora također nastojala uključiti u svoja ograničenja.

Prema riječima gradskih dužnosnika, prag od pet velikih brodova dnevno namijenjen je pružanju pozitivnog iskustva za dobrobit i stanovnika i posjetitelja, istovremeno pružajući pouzdano tržište za mnoge lokalne tvrtke koje se oslanjaju na industriju posjetitelja, posebno krstarenja. Juneau na Aljasci postao je posljednja popularna luka za krstarenja koja je pristala na ograničenja priljeva putnika na krstarenjima tijekom vrhunca sezone, a sve na osnovu pritužbi stanovnika o štetnim učincima prekomjernog kruzerskog turizma.

Gradski dužnosnici najavili su sporazum s međunarodnom udrugom Cruise Lines dok je sezona 2023. započela dolaskom prvog broda za krstarenje u ponedjeljak, 17. travnja. Međutim, kritičari se pitaju je li napor dovoljan da se upravlja priljevom za koji kažu da je preplavio mali grad, o čemu piše maritime-executive.com.

Grad i općina Juneau i udruga industrije krstarenja koja predstavlja glavne tvrtke za krstarenja potpisali su sporazum koji stupa na snagu sa sezonom krstarenja 2024. godine. Njime se formalizira već utvrđeno ograničenje od pet velikih brodova za krstarenje dnevno u Juneauu bez postavljanja ograničenja broja putnika ili ljudi koji dolaze na obalu, što su druga odredišta poput Key Westa i Bar Harbora također nastojala uključiti u svoja ograničenja.

Prema riječima gradskih dužnosnika, prag od pet velikih brodova dnevno namijenjen je pružanju pozitivnog iskustva za dobrobit i stanovnika i posjetitelja, istovremeno pružajući pouzdano tržište za mnoge lokalne tvrtke koje se oslanjaju na industriju posjetitelja, posebno krstarenja. Rekli su da to također pokazuje partnerstvo suradnje koje postoji između zajednice i industrije krstarenja.

Pozivi na ograničenja postali su glasniji kako se industrija krstarenja oporavljala od pandemije. Budući da mnogi putnici žele ostati bliže domu, Aljaska je i dalje popularno odredište i jedno od prvih koje se vratilo na rekordnu razinu posjetitelja zabilježenu 2019.

"Ovaj sporazum našoj zajednici daje jamstvo koje nam je potrebno za planiranje budućnosti," rekla je gradska turistička menadžerica, Alexandra Pierce. "Industrija posjetitelja ključna je za našu lokalnu ekonomiju i bitno je da sačuvamo stvari koje čine Juneau nevjerojatnim mjestom za život i posjet."
