Najveći kruzer na svijetu, Icon of the Seas, predan je svojim vlasnicima, Royal Caribbean Group, tijekom jučerašnje ceremonije u brodogradilištu Meyer Turku u Finskoj. Tvrtka za krstarenja ističe da je masivni brod, prvi od tri naručena, proizvod sedmogodišnjeg dizajna i gotovo dvije i pol godine rada kako bi postao stvarnost. Sada kreće faza opremanja i pregleda kruzera prije prvog putovanja koje će biti krajem siječnja 2024. iz Miamija na Karibe.

DNV klasifikacija odražava njegovu bruto tonažu od 248.663, što ga čini nešto manjim od 250.800 bruto tona koje Royal Caribbean promovira, ali još uvijek približno pet posto većim od trenutačno najvećeg broda za krstarenja, Wonder of the Seas. Prvi u novoj klasi, Icon of the Seas ima 2.805 putničkih kabina s maksimalnim kapacitetom putnika od 7.600. Uz dodatnih 2.350 članova posade, broj putnika može dosegnuti gotovo 10.000, kako piše The Maritime Executive.

“Poželjeti dobrodošlicu Icon of the Seas u obitelj Royal Caribbean izvanredno je postignuće u godinama nastajanja za tisuće inovatora, inženjera, arhitekata i dizajnera”, rekao je Michael Bayley, predsjednik i izvršni direktor Royal Caribbean Internationala.

“Prije sedam godina imali smo ambicioznu ideju da kreiramo prvi odmor doista stvoren za svaku obitelj i pustolove; sada je to u našim rukama, a u ovom zadnjem koraku sve ćemo to oživjeti za najveći nastup u našoj povijesti u siječnju 2024.”

Royal Caribbean je izvorno naručio dva broda od brodogradilišta Meyer Turku u svibnju 2017., a montaža prvog broda započela je u siječnju 2022. Prije gotovo godinu dana, Icon of the Seas je isplovio iz suhog doka i podvrgnut je testiranjima, prvim u lipnju, a zatim krajem listopada. Plovio je morem osam dana da bi se vratio u brodogradilište 6. studenog nakon stotina testova, primjerice za brzinu, buku i vibracije. Također su testirali i prilagodili glavne motore i sustave automatizacije.

Ovo je prvi brod za krstarenje s LNG pogonom za Royal Caribbean International. Brod također ima waste to energy plant, HRV sistem i air lubrication sistem. Također, moći će se napajati električnom energijom s obale u lukama koje će imati tu mogućnost. Royal Caribbean ističe da premašuje IMO standard budući da je 24 posto energetski učinkovitiji i najučinkovitiji brod za krstarenje grupe, navodi The Maritime Executive.

Kao i svi moderni brodovi za krstarenje, dolazi s mnoštvom superlativa za svoje sadržaje, uključujući 40 lokacija za hranu i piće, četiri pozornice za zabavu, sedam bazena i šest vodenih tobogana. Icon of the Seas se proširuje na raniji dizajn klase Oasis koju je Royal Caribbean prvi put predstavio 2008. i sada ima ono što tvrtka za krstarenja naziva osam “susjedstava” koji variraju od sadržaja za djecu i obitelji do zabave, vanjskog parka i ekskluzivnih apartmana.

Izgradnja uključuje nekoliko jedinstvenih postignuća, poput AquaDome, najveće strukture izrađene od stakla i čelika nad prostorom za putnike. To je mjesto za zabavu s restoranom i barom, kao i kazalištem za predstave u bazenima, a uključuje i vodopad visok oko 16 metara.

Već je započela montaža sljedećeg broda klase, Star of the Seas, koji bi trebao biti porinut u ljeto 2025. Treći sestrinski brod trebao bi biti isporučen 2026, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Najveći kruzer na svijetu, Icon of the Seas, predan je svojim vlasnicima, Royal Caribbean Group, tijekom jučerašnje ceremonije u brodogradilištu Meyer Turku u Finskoj. Tvrtka za krstarenja ističe da je masivni brod, prvi od tri naručena, proizvod sedmogodišnjeg dizajna i gotovo dvije i pol godine rada kako bi postao stvarnost. Sada kreće faza opremanja i pregleda kruzera prije prvog putovanja koje će biti krajem siječnja 2024. iz Miamija na Karibe.

DNV klasifikacija odražava njegovu bruto tonažu od 248.663, što ga čini nešto manjim od 250.800 bruto tona koje Royal Caribbean promovira, ali još uvijek približno pet posto većim od trenutačno najvećeg broda za krstarenja, Wonder of the Seas. Prvi u novoj klasi, Icon of the Seas ima 2.805 putničkih kabina s maksimalnim kapacitetom putnika od 7.600. Uz dodatnih 2.350 članova posade, broj putnika može dosegnuti gotovo 10.000, kako piše The Maritime Executive.

Royal Caribbean je izvorno naručio dva broda od brodogradilišta Meyer Turku u svibnju 2017., a montaža prvog broda započela je u siječnju 2022. Prije gotovo godinu dana, Icon of the Seas je isplovio iz suhog doka i podvrgnut je testiranjima, prvim u lipnju, a zatim krajem listopada. Plovio je morem osam dana da bi se vratio u brodogradilište 6. studenog nakon stotina testova, primjerice za brzinu, buku i vibracije. Također su testirali i prilagodili glavne motore i sustave automatizacije.

Ovo je prvi brod za krstarenje s LNG pogonom za Royal Caribbean International. Brod također ima waste to energy plant, HRV sistem i air lubrication sistem. Također, moći će se napajati električnom energijom s obale u lukama koje će imati tu mogućnost. Royal Caribbean ističe da premašuje IMO standard budući da je 24 posto energetski učinkovitiji i najučinkovitiji brod za krstarenje grupe, navodi The Maritime Executive.

Kao i svi moderni brodovi za krstarenje, dolazi s mnoštvom superlativa za svoje sadržaje, uključujući 40 lokacija za hranu i piće, četiri pozornice za zabavu, sedam bazena i šest vodenih tobogana. Icon of the Seas se proširuje na raniji dizajn klase Oasis koju je Royal Caribbean prvi put predstavio 2008. i sada ima ono što tvrtka za krstarenja naziva osam “susjedstava” koji variraju od sadržaja za djecu i obitelji do zabave, vanjskog parka i ekskluzivnih apartmana.

Izgradnja uključuje nekoliko jedinstvenih postignuća, poput AquaDome, najveće strukture izrađene od stakla i čelika nad prostorom za putnike. To je mjesto za zabavu s restoranom i barom, kao i kazalištem za predstave u bazenima, a uključuje i vodopad visok oko 16 metara.

Već je započela montaža sljedećeg broda klase, Star of the Seas, koji bi trebao biti porinut u ljeto 2025. Treći sestrinski brod trebao bi biti isporučen 2026, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Najveći kruzer na svijetu, Icon of the Seas, predan je svojim vlasnicima, Royal Caribbean Group, tijekom jučerašnje ceremonije u brodogradilištu Meyer Turku u Finskoj. Tvrtka za krstarenja ističe da je masivni brod, prvi od tri naručena, proizvod sedmogodišnjeg dizajna i gotovo dvije i pol godine rada kako bi postao stvarnost. Sada kreće faza opremanja i pregleda kruzera prije prvog putovanja koje će biti krajem siječnja 2024. iz Miamija na Karibe.

DNV klasifikacija odražava njegovu bruto tonažu od 248.663, što ga čini nešto manjim od 250.800 bruto tona koje Royal Caribbean promovira, ali još uvijek približno pet posto većim od trenutačno najvećeg broda za krstarenja, Wonder of the Seas. Prvi u novoj klasi, Icon of the Seas ima 2.805 putničkih kabina s maksimalnim kapacitetom putnika od 7.600. Uz dodatnih 2.350 članova posade, broj putnika može dosegnuti gotovo 10.000, kako piše The Maritime Executive.
