Energetski div Shell i kompanija za pružanje offshore usluga Ampelmann kažnjeni su s ukupno 1,5 milijuna dolara zbog nesreće u kojoj je u Sjevernom moru teško ozlijeđen pomorac, prenosi pomorac.hr.

Pomorac M.H., koji je bio dio Shellovog tima za održavanje, doživio je tešku nesreću 17. listopada 2017. godine, kada su mu prilikom hodanja po brodskom sizu (gangway) s broda za opskrbu (OSV) na plinsku platformu zgnječena oba stopala, piše The Maritime Executive.

Tada 63-godišnji pomorac je zajedno s kolegama hodao sizom s OSV-a na plinsku platformu Galleon PG, koja se nalazi više od 30 nm od obala Norfolka i Lincolnshirea. Premda su vremenski uvjeti bili su nepovoljni, s jakim vjetrom i valovima, a vidljivost loša jer je bilo rano ujutro, prije zore, kompanije su ipak dopustile nastavak.

M.H. je bio posljednji u nizu. Dok je hodao po sizu, OSV se od udara valova približio platformi, zbog čega su se teleskopski krakovi gangway sustava sklopili i zahvatili stopala nesretnog pomorca, što mu je nanijelo teške ozljede koje su umalo rezultirale amputacijom oba stopala.

Gangway sustav je dizajnirao i izradio Ampelmann, tvrtka specijalizirana za WTW (walk-to-work) prijenosne sustave.

Izvršni ured za zdravlje i sigurnost (HSE) Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva objavio je da su se dvije kompanije izjasnile krivima za kršenje pravila sigurnosti na moru, što je primarni uzrok nesreće.

U svojoj je istrazi HSE otkrio da radnici koji koriste Ampelmann gangway sustave nisu bili dovoljno zaštićeni od rizika.

"Gangway sustavi važan su dio pouzdanog i sigurnog pristupa, ali njihov dizajn mora osigurati da je radnik zaštićen od nepotrebnih rizika i ozbiljnih ozljeda", rekao je John Hawkins, HSE inspektor.

Dodao je da rizik kojim su radnici izloženi prilikom osnovnih radnji kao što je korištenje gangway sustava nije u skladu s očekivanim standardima sigurnosti u offshore industriji.

HSE je nakon nesreće osudio Shell i Ampelmann, koji su priznali krivnju. Shell je tako kažnjen novčanom kaznom od 1,2 milijuna dolara, a Ampelmann kaznom od 260 tisuća dolara.

Energetski div Shell i kompanija za pružanje offshore usluga Ampelmann kažnjeni su s ukupno 1,5 milijuna dolara zbog nesreće u kojoj je u Sjevernom moru teško ozlijeđen pomorac, prenosi pomorac.hr.

Pomorac M.H., koji je bio dio Shellovog tima za održavanje, doživio je tešku nesreću 17. listopada 2017. godine, kada su mu prilikom hodanja po brodskom sizu (gangway) s broda za opskrbu (OSV) na plinsku platformu zgnječena oba stopala, piše The Maritime Executive.

Tada 63-godišnji pomorac je zajedno s kolegama hodao sizom s OSV-a na plinsku platformu Galleon PG, koja se nalazi više od 30 nm od obala Norfolka i Lincolnshirea. Premda su vremenski uvjeti bili su nepovoljni, s jakim vjetrom i valovima, a vidljivost loša jer je bilo rano ujutro, prije zore, kompanije su ipak dopustile nastavak.

M.H. je bio posljednji u nizu. Dok je hodao po sizu, OSV se od udara valova približio platformi, zbog čega su se teleskopski krakovi gangway sustava sklopili i zahvatili stopala nesretnog pomorca, što mu je nanijelo teške ozljede koje su umalo rezultirale amputacijom oba stopala.

Gangway sustav je dizajnirao i izradio Ampelmann, tvrtka specijalizirana za WTW (walk-to-work) prijenosne sustave.

Izvršni ured za zdravlje i sigurnost (HSE) Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva objavio je da su se dvije kompanije izjasnile krivima za kršenje pravila sigurnosti na moru, što je primarni uzrok nesreće.

U svojoj je istrazi HSE otkrio da radnici koji koriste Ampelmann gangway sustave nisu bili dovoljno zaštićeni od rizika.

"Gangway sustavi važan su dio pouzdanog i sigurnog pristupa, ali njihov dizajn mora osigurati da je radnik zaštićen od nepotrebnih rizika i ozbiljnih ozljeda", rekao je John Hawkins, HSE inspektor.

Dodao je da rizik kojim su radnici izloženi prilikom osnovnih radnji kao što je korištenje gangway sustava nije u skladu s očekivanim standardima sigurnosti u offshore industriji.

HSE je nakon nesreće osudio Shell i Ampelmann, koji su priznali krivnju. Shell je tako kažnjen novčanom kaznom od 1,2 milijuna dolara, a Ampelmann kaznom od 260 tisuća dolara.

Energetski div Shell i kompanija za pružanje offshore usluga Ampelmann kažnjeni su s ukupno 1,5 milijuna dolara zbog nesreće u kojoj je u Sjevernom moru teško ozlijeđen pomorac, prenosi pomorac.hr.

Pomorac M.H., koji je bio dio Shellovog tima za održavanje, doživio je tešku nesreću 17. listopada 2017. godine, kada su mu prilikom hodanja po brodskom sizu (gangway) s broda za opskrbu (OSV) na plinsku platformu zgnječena oba stopala, piše The Maritime Executive.

Tada 63-godišnji pomorac je zajedno s kolegama hodao sizom s OSV-a na plinsku platformu Galleon PG, koja se nalazi više od 30 nm od obala Norfolka i Lincolnshirea. Premda su vremenski uvjeti bili su nepovoljni, s jakim vjetrom i valovima, a vidljivost loša jer je bilo rano ujutro, prije zore, kompanije su ipak dopustile nastavak.

M.H. je bio posljednji u nizu. Dok je hodao po sizu, OSV se od udara valova približio platformi, zbog čega su se teleskopski krakovi gangway sustava sklopili i zahvatili stopala nesretnog pomorca, što mu je nanijelo teške ozljede koje su umalo rezultirale amputacijom oba stopala.

Gangway sustav je dizajnirao i izradio Ampelmann, tvrtka specijalizirana za WTW (walk-to-work) prijenosne sustave.

Izvršni ured za zdravlje i sigurnost (HSE) Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva objavio je da su se dvije kompanije izjasnile krivima za kršenje pravila sigurnosti na moru, što je primarni uzrok nesreće.

U svojoj je istrazi HSE otkrio da radnici koji koriste Ampelmann gangway sustave nisu bili dovoljno zaštićeni od rizika.

"Gangway sustavi važan su dio pouzdanog i sigurnog pristupa, ali njihov dizajn mora osigurati da je radnik zaštićen od nepotrebnih rizika i ozbiljnih ozljeda", rekao je John Hawkins, HSE inspektor.

Dodao je da rizik kojim su radnici izloženi prilikom osnovnih radnji kao što je korištenje gangway sustava nije u skladu s očekivanim standardima sigurnosti u offshore industriji.

HSE je nakon nesreće osudio Shell i Ampelmann, koji su priznali krivnju. Shell je tako kažnjen novčanom kaznom od 1,2 milijuna dolara, a Ampelmann kaznom od 260 tisuća dolara.
