Dubrovačko-neretvanska županija sudjeluje u projektu "Očuvanje plemenite periske u južnom dijelu Jadranskog mora".
Naime, Javna ustanova za upravljanje zaštićenim dijelovima prirode Dubrovačko-neretvanske županije potpisala je sporazum o partnerstvu u provedbi projekta "Očuvanje plemenite periske (????? ???????) u južnom dijelu Jadranskog mora". Projekt je dio nacionalnog programa očuvanja plemenite periske u Jadranskome moru.
Aktivnosti očuvanja plemenite periske u Republici Hrvatskoj koordinira Ministarstvo gospodarstva i održivog razvoja, a provode ih javne ustanove za upravljanje nacionalnim parkovima i parkovima prirode, županijske javne ustanove za upravljanje zaštićenim prirodnim vrijednostima te znanstveno-stručna zajednica. Sufinanciranje aktivnosti za razdoblje od 2020. do 2022. godine osigurano je iz Fonda za zaštitu okoliša i energetsku učinkovitost.
Prema trenutačno raspoloživim podacima, opstanak plemenite periske u Jadranu, kao i u ostatku Mediterana, neizvjestan je. Pojava masovnog mortaliteta zahvatila je cijeli hrvatski dio Jadranskog mora.
Sve manje živih jedinki
S obzirom na geografski položaj Dubrovačko-neretvanske županije i blizinu Jonskog mora, pojava mortaliteta plemenite periske na području Republike Hrvatske zabilježena je prvotno upravo na području ove najjužnije županije.
Budući da je sve manji broj živih jedinki u moru, ključno je za opstanak vrste pronaći potencijalno otporne jedinke koje bi se mogle dalje razmnožiti i stvoriti prirodni "imunitet" te ih zaštititi od mogućeg antropogenog djelovanja.
Osim zaštite preživjelih odraslih jedinki, mjera koja se provodi diljem Mediterana je postavljanje kolektora ličinki periski te fizička zaštita prikupljenih jedinki bilo od antropogenog djelovanja, ili od prirodnih predatora, čime se povećava stopa preživljavanja ličinki. Dio tih ličinki moguće je i premjestiti u akvarije te pokušati potaknuti razmnožavanje ex situ. Kako bi se osigurao spas periske, nužno je podizanje stručnih i tehničkih kapaciteta.
Aktivnosti koje će Javna ustanova provoditi u svrhu očuvanja plemenite periske jesu postavljanje kolektora u Malostonskome zaljevu te transport sakupljenih juvenilnih jedinki u Akvarij u Puli, izlazak na lokacije potencijalnih nalazišta živih jedinki prema dojavama sugrađana te edukacije o važnosti i značenju ove endemske vrste u morskim sustavima.
Periska je endem Sredozemnog mora te ujedno najveći školjkaš Sredozemnog mora koji može narasti do 120 cm. Uglavnom nastanjuje sedimentna dna s livadama morskih cvjetnica. Zbog ugroženosti vrste i njezinih staništa, plemenita periska strogo je zaštićena vrsta u Hrvatskoj.

Dubrovačko-neretvanska županija sudjeluje u projektu "Očuvanje plemenite periske u južnom dijelu Jadranskog mora".
Naime, Javna ustanova za upravljanje zaštićenim dijelovima prirode Dubrovačko-neretvanske županije potpisala je sporazum o partnerstvu u provedbi projekta "Očuvanje plemenite periske (????? ???????) u južnom dijelu Jadranskog mora". Projekt je dio nacionalnog programa očuvanja plemenite periske u Jadranskome moru.
Aktivnosti očuvanja plemenite periske u Republici Hrvatskoj koordinira Ministarstvo gospodarstva i održivog razvoja, a provode ih javne ustanove za upravljanje nacionalnim parkovima i parkovima prirode, županijske javne ustanove za upravljanje zaštićenim prirodnim vrijednostima te znanstveno-stručna zajednica. Sufinanciranje aktivnosti za razdoblje od 2020. do 2022. godine osigurano je iz Fonda za zaštitu okoliša i energetsku učinkovitost.
Prema trenutačno raspoloživim podacima, opstanak plemenite periske u Jadranu, kao i u ostatku Mediterana, neizvjestan je. Pojava masovnog mortaliteta zahvatila je cijeli hrvatski dio Jadranskog mora.
Sve manje živih jedinki
S obzirom na geografski položaj Dubrovačko-neretvanske županije i blizinu Jonskog mora, pojava mortaliteta plemenite periske na području Republike Hrvatske zabilježena je prvotno upravo na području ove najjužnije županije.
Budući da je sve manji broj živih jedinki u moru, ključno je za opstanak vrste pronaći potencijalno otporne jedinke koje bi se mogle dalje razmnožiti i stvoriti prirodni "imunitet" te ih zaštititi od mogućeg antropogenog djelovanja.
Osim zaštite preživjelih odraslih jedinki, mjera koja se provodi diljem Mediterana je postavljanje kolektora ličinki periski te fizička zaštita prikupljenih jedinki bilo od antropogenog djelovanja, ili od prirodnih predatora, čime se povećava stopa preživljavanja ličinki. Dio tih ličinki moguće je i premjestiti u akvarije te pokušati potaknuti razmnožavanje ex situ. Kako bi se osigurao spas periske, nužno je podizanje stručnih i tehničkih kapaciteta.
Aktivnosti koje će Javna ustanova provoditi u svrhu očuvanja plemenite periske jesu postavljanje kolektora u Malostonskome zaljevu te transport sakupljenih juvenilnih jedinki u Akvarij u Puli, izlazak na lokacije potencijalnih nalazišta živih jedinki prema dojavama sugrađana te edukacije o važnosti i značenju ove endemske vrste u morskim sustavima.
Periska je endem Sredozemnog mora te ujedno najveći školjkaš Sredozemnog mora koji može narasti do 120 cm. Uglavnom nastanjuje sedimentna dna s livadama morskih cvjetnica. Zbog ugroženosti vrste i njezinih staništa, plemenita periska strogo je zaštićena vrsta u Hrvatskoj.
