Britanska flota brodova koja se koristi za prijevoz istrošenog nuklearnog goriva iz cijelog svijeta, Nuclear Transport Solutions (NTS), pokušava smanjiti troškove goriva i štetnih emisije ugradnjom na postojeće brodove jedara visoke tehnologije, koje kontrolira umjetna inteligencija.

Ideja da se postojećim brodovima dodaju jedra radi smanjena potrošnje fosilnih goriva datira iz energetske krize sredinom sedamdesetih godina prošloga stoljeća. No, pokazalo se da je njihova naknadna ugradnja komplicirana, traži dodatnu posadu, zauzimaju dragocjeni transportni prostor i visinom ometaju operacije broda u lukama.

Sada pak NTS razmatra prilagodbu sustava Fastrig, koji je razvio Smart Green Shipping (SGS), kako bi ga pokušao uklopiti u svoju flotu od tri posebno dizajnirana broda koja se koriste za slanje istrošenog nuklearnog goriva u zatvorenim bocama visoke sigurnosti iz nuklearnih postrojenja diljem svijeta natrag u Britaniju na preradu u nove gorivne šipke.

Sustav Fastrig u osnovi se sastoji od aeroprofila montiranih u setovima na palubu broda, koji su dijelom pričvršćeni za jarbol, a za njih se hvata drugi dio poput zakrilca na krilu aviona. Uz pomoć umjetne inteligencije, moguće je stalno namještati najučinkovitiji kut prema vjetru radi dobivanja maksimalnog potiska.

Pritom je posebno važno što se jedra kada nisu potrebna mogu sama sklopiti, tako da jarboli leže u ravnini s palubom, ne ometajući rad utovarnih dizalica i druge opreme.

Britanska flota brodova koja se koristi za prijevoz istrošenog nuklearnog goriva iz cijelog svijeta, Nuclear Transport Solutions (NTS), pokušava smanjiti troškove goriva i štetnih emisije ugradnjom na postojeće brodove jedara visoke tehnologije, koje kontrolira umjetna inteligencija.

Ideja da se postojećim brodovima dodaju jedra radi smanjena potrošnje fosilnih goriva datira iz energetske krize sredinom sedamdesetih godina prošloga stoljeća. No, pokazalo se da je njihova naknadna ugradnja komplicirana, traži dodatnu posadu, zauzimaju dragocjeni transportni prostor i visinom ometaju operacije broda u lukama.

Sada pak NTS razmatra prilagodbu sustava Fastrig, koji je razvio Smart Green Shipping (SGS), kako bi ga pokušao uklopiti u svoju flotu od tri posebno dizajnirana broda koja se koriste za slanje istrošenog nuklearnog goriva u zatvorenim bocama visoke sigurnosti iz nuklearnih postrojenja diljem svijeta natrag u Britaniju na preradu u nove gorivne šipke.

Sustav Fastrig u osnovi se sastoji od aeroprofila montiranih u setovima na palubu broda, koji su dijelom pričvršćeni za jarbol, a za njih se hvata drugi dio poput zakrilca na krilu aviona. Uz pomoć umjetne inteligencije, moguće je stalno namještati najučinkovitiji kut prema vjetru radi dobivanja maksimalnog potiska.

Britanska flota brodova koja se koristi za prijevoz istrošenog nuklearnog goriva iz cijelog svijeta, Nuclear Transport Solutions (NTS), pokušava smanjiti troškove goriva i štetnih emisije ugradnjom na postojeće brodove jedara visoke tehnologije, koje kontrolira umjetna inteligencija.

Ideja da se postojećim brodovima dodaju jedra radi smanjena potrošnje fosilnih goriva datira iz energetske krize sredinom sedamdesetih godina prošloga stoljeća. No, pokazalo se da je njihova naknadna ugradnja komplicirana, traži dodatnu posadu, zauzimaju dragocjeni transportni prostor i visinom ometaju operacije broda u lukama.

Sada pak NTS razmatra prilagodbu sustava Fastrig, koji je razvio Smart Green Shipping (SGS), kako bi ga pokušao uklopiti u svoju flotu od tri posebno dizajnirana broda koja se koriste za slanje istrošenog nuklearnog goriva u zatvorenim bocama visoke sigurnosti iz nuklearnih postrojenja diljem svijeta natrag u Britaniju na preradu u nove gorivne šipke.

Sustav Fastrig u osnovi se sastoji od aeroprofila montiranih u setovima na palubu broda, koji su dijelom pričvršćeni za jarbol, a za njih se hvata drugi dio poput zakrilca na krilu aviona. Uz pomoć umjetne inteligencije, moguće je stalno namještati najučinkovitiji kut prema vjetru radi dobivanja maksimalnog potiska.
