Eksperti pomorske tehnologije Yarden Gross i Dor Raviv su u Tel Avivu 2018. osnovali pomorsku platformu Orca AI (Artificial Intelligence) čiji je cilj uz pomoć računala, kamera i senzora spriječiti nesreće trgovačkih plovila na svjetskim morima.

Oni rade sigurnosne platforme specifično dizajnirane za velika plovila i nadaju se kako bi njihov najnoviji sustav nazvan Automatic Ship Target Recognition System trebao jednog dana upravljati autonomnim brodovima bez posade koji će prevoziti teret od luke ukrcaja do luke iskrcaja.

Takvi brodovi brodovi roboti već postoje, ali su malih gabarita ili se rabe u vojne svrhe, no nema sumnje kako će se u skoroj budućnosti pojaviti i modeli za trgovačku mornaricu, na čemu već godinama, između ostalih, ozbiljno radi tvrtka Rolls Royce Marine čiji stručnjaci procjenjuju da će 2030. postojati prvi brodovi koji će bez posade prelaziti Oceane.

Nužna prilagodba

Gross i Dor Raviv su itekako svjesni da do tada ima još puno vremena, stoga su početnu verziju svog Automatic Ship Target Recognition Systema (ASTRS) prilagodili postojećim plovilima, pa kombiniraju već postavljene sigurnosne sustave na njima sa svojim računalnim inovacijama i senzorima.

Pri tom ističu kako je dodatni cilj omogućiti brodarskim kompanijama da preko računala nadgledaju svoj brod i teret 24 sata na dan bez straha od nesreće.

Izraelci podsjećaju kako se svake godine dogodi oko 4000 nesreća na moru uzrokovanih slabom vidljivosti, greškama članova posade, neprepoznavanju situacija u područjima gdje je puno plovila, rizičnim odlukama, kao i nedovoljnom količinom podataka koji bi možda pomogli u donošenju pravilnih odluka.

Dodatna vidljivost

Orca AI sustav nudi računalnu navigaciju i funkciju izbjegavanja sudara uz pomoć dodatnih uređaja za bolju vidljivost.

- Navigatori često gledaju s dalekozorima ispred broda ne bi li prepoznali nekakav opasni objekt u moru. No, ljudske oči imaju ograničenu moć prepoznavanja, pogotovo po noći ili slaboj vidljivosti uzrokovanoj vremenskim uvjetima (kiša, magla, nevrijeme...) - podsjećaju Gross i Dor Raviv.

U smislu eliminacije ljudskih grešaka, ističu kako će njihov sustav posadi osigurati dodatnu vidljivost u realnom vremenu čak i po vrlo lošim vremenskim uvjetima, te im pomoći u donošenju ispravnih odluka.

Zbog toga ASTRS rabi vizualne senzore i termalne kamere podržane od strane Artificial Intelligence algoritama koji stalno analiziraju uvjete na moru, automatski prepoznavaju druge brodove u blizini i upozoravaju posadu na potencijalno opasne situacije.

- Odlučili smo uporabom umjetne inteligencije, kamera i vizualnih senzora smanjiti ljudske pogreške na minimum – napominju Izraelci, ističući kako veliki dio trgovačkih brodova ima sigurnosne kamere, ali su računalne vizualne kamere vrlo rijetke.

Testiranja na NYK brodu

- Nadamo se da će naše rješenje vrlo skoro omogućiti automatsku navigaciju već postojećih plovila s posadom, te jednog dana biti kamen temeljac navigacije autonomnih trgovačkih brodova robota – kažu Gross i Dor Raviv.

Njihov projekt očito ide u dobrom smjeru jer su sklopili su ugovor o partnerstvu sa japanskim brodarom Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line, osnovana 1885.) i već su 30. kolovoza 2021. počeli testiranja ASTR sustava na jednom od njihovih brodova.

A ulazak kompanije NYK u partnerstvo (imaju 800 brodova u floti), jasan je znak svima kako su Izraelci na tragu revolucionarnog rješenja koje bi itekako moglo povećati sigurnost prometa na moru.

Eksperti pomorske tehnologije Yarden Gross i Dor Raviv su u Tel Avivu 2018. osnovali pomorsku platformu Orca AI (Artificial Intelligence) čiji je cilj uz pomoć računala, kamera i senzora spriječiti nesreće trgovačkih plovila na svjetskim morima.

Oni rade sigurnosne platforme specifično dizajnirane za velika plovila i nadaju se kako bi njihov najnoviji sustav nazvan Automatic Ship Target Recognition System trebao jednog dana upravljati autonomnim brodovima bez posade koji će prevoziti teret od luke ukrcaja do luke iskrcaja.

Takvi brodovi brodovi roboti već postoje, ali su malih gabarita ili se rabe u vojne svrhe, no nema sumnje kako će se u skoroj budućnosti pojaviti i modeli za trgovačku mornaricu, na čemu već godinama, između ostalih, ozbiljno radi tvrtka Rolls Royce Marine čiji stručnjaci procjenjuju da će 2030. postojati prvi brodovi koji će bez posade prelaziti Oceane.

Nužna prilagodba

Gross i Dor Raviv su itekako svjesni da do tada ima još puno vremena, stoga su početnu verziju svog Automatic Ship Target Recognition Systema (ASTRS) prilagodili postojećim plovilima, pa kombiniraju već postavljene sigurnosne sustave na njima sa svojim računalnim inovacijama i senzorima.

Pri tom ističu kako je dodatni cilj omogućiti brodarskim kompanijama da preko računala nadgledaju svoj brod i teret 24 sata na dan bez straha od nesreće.

Izraelci podsjećaju kako se svake godine dogodi oko 4000 nesreća na moru uzrokovanih slabom vidljivosti, greškama članova posade, neprepoznavanju situacija u područjima gdje je puno plovila, rizičnim odlukama, kao i nedovoljnom količinom podataka koji bi možda pomogli u donošenju pravilnih odluka.

Dodatna vidljivost

Orca AI sustav nudi računalnu navigaciju i funkciju izbjegavanja sudara uz pomoć dodatnih uređaja za bolju vidljivost.

- Navigatori često gledaju s dalekozorima ispred broda ne bi li prepoznali nekakav opasni objekt u moru. No, ljudske oči imaju ograničenu moć prepoznavanja, pogotovo po noći ili slaboj vidljivosti uzrokovanoj vremenskim uvjetima (kiša, magla, nevrijeme...) - podsjećaju Gross i Dor Raviv.

U smislu eliminacije ljudskih grešaka, ističu kako će njihov sustav posadi osigurati dodatnu vidljivost u realnom vremenu čak i po vrlo lošim vremenskim uvjetima, te im pomoći u donošenju ispravnih odluka.

Zbog toga ASTRS rabi vizualne senzore i termalne kamere podržane od strane Artificial Intelligence algoritama koji stalno analiziraju uvjete na moru, automatski prepoznavaju druge brodove u blizini i upozoravaju posadu na potencijalno opasne situacije.

- Odlučili smo uporabom umjetne inteligencije, kamera i vizualnih senzora smanjiti ljudske pogreške na minimum – napominju Izraelci, ističući kako veliki dio trgovačkih brodova ima sigurnosne kamere, ali su računalne vizualne kamere vrlo rijetke.

Testiranja na NYK brodu

- Nadamo se da će naše rješenje vrlo skoro omogućiti automatsku navigaciju već postojećih plovila s posadom, te jednog dana biti kamen temeljac navigacije autonomnih trgovačkih brodova robota – kažu Gross i Dor Raviv.

Njihov projekt očito ide u dobrom smjeru jer su sklopili su ugovor o partnerstvu sa japanskim brodarom Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line, osnovana 1885.) i već su 30. kolovoza 2021. počeli testiranja ASTR sustava na jednom od njihovih brodova.

A ulazak kompanije NYK u partnerstvo (imaju 800 brodova u floti), jasan je znak svima kako su Izraelci na tragu revolucionarnog rješenja koje bi itekako moglo povećati sigurnost prometa na moru.
